I use to go to this Subway 1x per week when done my grocery shopping. I always dined in. The help was friendly and helpful. They went under new management a few months ago and after my first visit, I stopped going. The new management was hard to understand and made me feel like I suddenly wasn't speaking clearly. He didn't understand anything I said so I had to repeat myself several times. My order was same as always. It took awhile and another person to help make my lunch. I ate it and left. Annoyed for sure. So I waited several months to go back hoping for improvement. The place was in desperate need of cleaning! They weren't neat and orderly like they used to be. I got a 6" club sub. However no bacon was put on it- its a ingredient listed on the sign. Ok. So no bacon. Went to get some napkins as none in bag and was told to go get at drink station. The drink station was a mess. Sticky spills, napkins tossed in a pile on the counter. None of the bins holding straws etc were filled or neat. How difficult is it to wipe down a counter and refill bins? I took several napkins back to My table to wash n dry it. Anything that touched the table, I tossed out. Cold water doesn't kill germs. There were 3 people that I saw behind the counter. 1 working 2 others I guess observing? They should have been cleaning Something! The glass was covered with many handprints. The veggies were surrounded by dropped veg in and around the holding bins. There were wrappers sitting near the toaster that had been used but not tossed out. The floor, which I noticed while sitting there eating, was filthy. There was trash on it, under tables and along the food prep case. It was just plain dirty. Everywhere. Meanwhile a girl was sitting at a table with people gabbing though she had a subway vest on. She was sitting when I arrived and still sitting when I left. Management perhaps? Other customers were doing same thing I did. Looking for clean tables and cleaning their own. This is one of two of the subways in town I have noticed that have gone quickly downhill since getting New Management. The 2nd one is on Dover Crossing. Both cutting back on meats and cheeses, lack of cleaning anything - board of health needs to stop in- bring them a broom, a mop, some disinfectant in a spray bottle for tables and seats. Read moreLet me just say I don’t ever write bad reviews but this location was god awful. I had work 2 years at a subway and I loved my location but this location was absolutely awful. Customer service was distasteful and they were both very rude people. It is suppose to be a great atmosphere and happy and I get people have bad days like everyone does but get over it and do your job. I am a very patient person and understand stuff happens cause I have worked in the food industry and it not all flowers and daisys. I asked for my sandwich to be heated and it was then they were super slow putting online orders in front of ours and I had to ask them to toast my sandwich again cause it was sitting there for almost 10 minutes and looked cold and they did but look at me like I was the problem .Then my husband order a pizza they didn’t cut up the pepperonis and it looked like it was just slapped on their not cut or anything and look burnt. She didn’t ask for on parm or oregano so I asked politely to have some on it and she did then kept the paper they toast it on in the box and the box was covered in grease. Went to check out and I was still very polite we were going to sit down and eat but decided not to due to service. Crap happens I get it but this subway needs to do better this is ridiculous and whoever hires people here needs to look at the bigger picture. Online order placed at like 11:05 am for 11:25 pickup, the two sandwiches weren't even prepared until 11:50. Paid for two bags of chips and only given, and would have not gotten a second drink had I not grabbed it.
One of the sandwiches was completely wrong. Big difference between an Italian bmt turkey sandwich that was made.
The sprite had been shaken up so bad that even barely cracked and spilled all over me.
No napkins to clean the spill up.
At this point, I said the hell with it, and went back demanding my money for the complete order.
The female Manger, rather short and dark haired was extremely unhelpful and refused to give me a refund ofnmy money, I was only able to recover half my money. I have already filed a complaint with corporate and intended to track down the regional Manger and owner.
I'm not the kind of person that goes overboard on this, but by God, when it's this dysfunctional, I can't sit back and take it.
No more Subway forever if I can help it (only if I'm starving) but sure as to hell, not this location again.
