I was traveling on I40 and stopped here for fuel. After paying for fuel I decided to use restroom and planned to purchase a hot item for a quick lunch. The restroom was so thoroughly disgusting I totally lost any appetite I may have had. The commode had dried urine all over its base and around the floor. There was no bathroom tissue. The waste basket was overflowing. The entire bathroom was filthy beyond description, appearing no attempt had been made to clean it in years. Days earlier I had used a pit toilet in Madrid, NM and found it to be pretty horrible but it wasn't even as bad as the restroom in this Valero station. I thanked God my children were not traveling with me on this day as I would have been sick to think I subjected them to such filth. As for the food, I can't comment. But I was once told if you want to know how clean the kitchen is, check out the bathroom. Heed that warning if you are hungry and thinking of stopping at Valer Tiger Mart in Clarksville, AR. I loved this stop because everything was well priced and accommodating. I asked who had the best fries around there and the woman (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name!) didn’t much have an answer but then she said well ours are pretty good when they’re fresh and made a new batch for me. They were PERFECT. Crispy and delicious on the outside and molten on the inside. Tons of flavor and good ketchup. Thank You! It’s little things like that that make my day. 💕 love this stop.
