I wouldn't even come to this store if it weren't for ONE employee who works overnights; Derek has the absolute best customer service out of every single employee I've ever encountered at this location. I often have conversations with other customers going through the self checkout process as quickly as possible but still wind up catching major attitude from the employee who makes it oh so very clear theyre ready to go but being held up with "unnecessary questions" and "people intentionally taking their time or coming in at the last minute"-- yes ive heard both those come directly from an enployees mouth. You don't know what goes on in other people's lives, maybe they aren't choosing to make you stay an extra 15 minutes. Maybe they've got children in bed and cant come until a spouse gets home from 2nd shift to be with the kids. Or like one customer i spoke with one night who almost was in tears from the disrespect she was being shown, shes a nurse, who's hours aren't always predictable so she had no choice but to rush here that night. And before I close this im just going to add that YES I've worked retail before, been a sales associate, all of that. And in each of the jobs, i closed many many nights. Never did i take it out on the customer who came in last minute, because its not their fault i applied for that job. I used to have a select group of people who'd come in 15 min prior to closing, gather a bunch of clothes walk around and throw them in a pile somewhere random before leaving. Did it get on my nerves, yes theres no logical reason to do such a thing, but i went behind them and picked the stuff up because it was what i got paid to do. Your employees get paid to do their job and id guess that customer service is part of the job requirements? If im correct on that then there needs to be some adjustments made or im likely going to go spend my roughly 800 a...
Read moreMadison St store suxs for the most part! It's produce is looks worst than Walmart and most of the personal are pissed because you're bothering them! Kroger needs to take lessons from Publix on customer service and fresh produce! Don't plan on buying organic produce because it looks like 10 miles of bad road. The good with Kroger is the 2 other stores in Clarksville....Lowes Dr. and Dover Crossing! Huge difference but yet the same company! The service today on Madison was so bad it was comical. The checker was chewing gun profusely never greeted me or thanked me for coming in. She checked me out handed me my ticket and never said a word! The lady before me told the girl she had gotten her phone and cards wet when laying her things on the checkout counter. The girl never commented only handed her a paper towel while the bagger said "oh, don't worry I just cut myself and bleed all over that area and didn't get it cleaned up very good"! They laughed! Arrogant and entitled young people do not deserve a job. This is totally a management issue all over the store. Shut it down and let's start over. Kroger isn't bad only it's management. I will not be returning to the Madison Street store. I'm tried of the frustration that goes along with it every time I go. I've never written a review but I'm feed up with this place and I hope it will help change things. I live in the Sango area and really would love to have a grocery store that offers a variety of organic foods at a affordable price with an...
Read moreI'm new to the area, just had surgery on my SPINE, and my surgeon sent a prescription for some medication that I had an allergic reaction to. Instead of the pharmacist calling the surgeon to confirm that another prescription was sent by one of his nurses, he says, "If this medication has an allergic reaction, why get an alternate?" Then I called back to get his name, to call corporate, and he says, "it was another prescriber, and that is my job. I'm like, if it's your job, why didn't you call the surgeon to confirm that it was one of his nurses? Instead, he harassing me about a prescription called in. This isn't the first time I've had to deal with this. Last time, I was told there was no insurance on file with Krogers. For the past 12 years, all Kroger pharmacy locations are on the same network. This is a form of prejudice that I can't deal with. Because of my color, pharmacist harassing me. I asked if he wanted me to bring the other medication back. The way he harassed me seems he wants them. All he had to do was call and confirm that the medication was prescribed by another party under my surgeon. If you're new to this area, use another pharmacy. Last time, it was my insurance as if I'm not a Federal Employee cause of my race. Oh I forgot to mention, I was also prescribed nicotine patch for 28 patches, but received only 14, on the box it says 28. It's like are they stealing people's scripts or on the drugs they are supposed to be given to their patients...Never again will you treat...
