I've been coming to the Milsop Community Center since I was a kid. It has changed so much over the years; and yet, it still is the same in many ways. There is something for every and all ages to do here. The center is further used as an emergency shelter for residents, and they have conference rooms available for meetings. I love the fact that this ENTIRE MONTH all Veterans are welcome at the Center FREE when they show their military identification. 🪖
"The Community Center is also currently holding their eighth annual Bob Bush Memorial Clothing Drive through November 12th. Bush, who served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam 🇻🇳 War originated the clothing drive as a way to assist local veterans by providing them with warm clothes ahead of the colder, winter months. He passed away in April 2020. The clothing drive he oversaw was named in his memory, with Weirton Parks & Recreation employee Ron Spencer, Army veteran, stepping in to make sure it continues. Those wishing to contribute are asked to bring their donations of new or gently used clothing to the main entrance of the community center, either in boxes 📦 or bags 🎒. In particular, officials note requests for new socks."

Read moreIt's a nice place and cheap, for a reason. The staff are awful. We went in and we wanted to take the kids swimming. We asked the guy how much under 3 is free. Kids are $3.50 and adults are $5. Paid and started walking in. To the right was a window with a guy in it texting. (Everyone texts at work, whatever) I asked the guy where the pool was. He had to finish his text before he told us where to go. We get to the pool. I have a 5yr old and a 1yr old. There were floatie toys. We grabbed one and gave it to my son. He's swimming with it and someone came out yelling, "hey, put those back, those are mine!" I guess they were being used for a swim class earlier. We left after being yelled at. I try to teach my kids to share and my son said, mom that's not nice, they have a lot and should share. I said I know baby. We proceeded out the door and told the guy he can keep his tickets he gave us to earn a free day pass told him what happened and he said, okay, sorry. Did not even care. Would NOT recommend this place to...
