The Wire Horse — Local services in Clayton Charter Township

I am the secretary of the Central Michigan Horsemans Association (C.M.H.A.) we host 7 weekend horse shows at the Shiawassee Co. Fairgrounds. We have worked directly with the owners and staff of the Wire Horse since they opened their store. Each show season they are very helpful and supportive of our organization with weekend high point award ideas, they have been a huge help and a very generous part of our year end awards program for several years. The owner Jenny J. has sponsored a work saddle the last three years for our fuzzy warm up show where all the profits are donated to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Cancer campaign, and has already sponsored the saddle for the 2014 fuzzy show. The Wire Horse has knowledgeable and friendly staff that are familiar with the current horse show atmosphere and trends. The Wire Horse has a very competitive, stylish, and variety of show clothing, boots, show equipment, trail equipment, etc. to meet the needs of a wide range of horsemen not just the horse show person. If they do not carry a product in the store they will find the product or similar for their customers. I ordered a helmet online through their Amazon shop. It didn’t fit so I returned it in perfect condition. They charged me a $150 restocking fee (the price of the helmet), and claimed the helmet was scratched (it wasn’t).

I understand restocking fees but they did that to avoid refunding me at all. Now I have no helmet and I’m out $150 while they are going to sell that helmet to someone else AND keep my $150.

As a business owner myself, this is dishonest and I will 100% not ever recommend them.

Claiming that they cannot resell the helmet doesn’t absolve them either. I told Amazon the helmet was not in its original packaging and was still allowed to return it. They should have mailed the helmet back to me and the restocking fee should have been the cost of shipping if this was...

I purchased a pair of Ariat boots from Amazon they were shipped from the wire horse shipping was extremely fast I was pleased because I needed the boots for an event I was going to in las Vegas. I order a lot of stuff on Amazon never ran into this before The box was old looking and taped all over like it had been damaged when I looked farther I noticed a big R rotten on the box I'm Shure this meant return all the price tags were removed from the box I like the boots but I thought I was buying a new pair of boots not ones that had been returned I can tell as one boot is a little stretched out more then the other unfortunately I leave next week for my event and don't have time to return them .
