Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly being able to walk up to the falls is a personal thing. If you have time and can do it try. Even if it takes you a while there are benches along the way. You will see people zip past you and you'll see folks like me, struggling but determined to do it. It's not a terribly long walk like a quarter mile. But some places are on an incline.(it's in the woods on a mountain) All you can do is try. If you make it to the bridge along the way you're probably half way.
The view was well worth it sit for a spell on the huge deck and just soak it in. Rest up for the walk down which for me is always easier. Wear good slip resistant footwear. Some places could be slick in spots because of moisture especially on the trip back down. If needed bring a walking stick.
I would love any waterfall in my yard. They're all beautiful š
Nice gift...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAmazing low impact hike to twin falls. The hike is 1/4 mile on a paved trail. There is one or two points where it's a pretty steep incline. Just take your time and it will be fine.
Note that there are some areas where there are poisonous snakes. The areas are marked well. Please heed the warnings. It's for your safety as well as the snakes.
I've done this trail 15x easily. Each time I go, I'm still impressed by the beauty. Note the temp drops a few degrees when you get to the top.
Please also stay on the paths. They have had some serious injuries over the years, from people going too far. Enjoy your time there, don't go for a medivac experience.
Seriously though, it's a simple and beauty walk to some gorgeous waterfalls. I always take out of towners here.
They are open all year, except for Christmas. Parking is easy, there is a $3...
