Went to this junkyard today to buy a rim. First off, every person that enters must pay a $3 entry fee. I didn't expect that, but at least it was only $3. The attendant was very helpful in knowing where the car I was looking for was, so that was good. Got to the car, found the rim I needed and also picked up a hubcap. Unfortunately, I had to buy the tire because they can't remove it for you. The tire was the most expensive part of it and I didn't need it, but I needed the rim, so I left with my purchase. I then went to the mechanic, who informed that the rim I bought didn't sit flush with my car axle and it turned out that the hubcap I bought didn't match the others on my car either. I didn't need anything I bought, so I came right back to return them. Well, the attendant at the front of the junkyard told me they don't accept tire returns! I was not told this when I bought the tire AND there were no notes about that on the receipt I was given. I pointed out the man that checked me out when I bought the tire, letting the attendant know that he could verify that the same tire was on the rim as when I left. The attendant continued to assert that accepting tires is not part of their policy. They need to let customers know this policy! I didn't even want the tire to begin with! The attendant almost didn't let me return the hubcap either, because there was no marking on it that it was sold. If it's the company's policy that every purchase must be marked by an employee before it leaves the lot, it's not my responsibility to make sure of that, especially because I don't know their company policies! I ended up getting my money back for the hubcap and the rim, not not the tire. Because they can't remove tires, they got to keep the tire plus the money I gave for the tire and the lot entry fees that I paid.
I DO NOT recommend going to this lot unless you can be sure that the part you're looking for will work...
Read moreOn 19 NOV 2014, The lady who answered the phone/at the customer service window... Was a professional by being snobby. I stated that Im from Fayetteville, NC and I'm looking for a 95 Cadillac DeVille, trunk lid pull down motor and she replied I don't know you need to come out here and see and then she hung up on me. I was like WTFudge, he never told me if the Cadillac DeVille was in the yard. While driving from Benson, NC to the facility I had a funny feeling came over me like I was about to get rubbed wrongly. Well I did I got rubbed wrongly. As I approached the facility in the thickness of traffic I decide to call the facility around 4:35 hrs to address I'm on my way and to ask what time did you close the facility and she stated at 5 p.m. then hung up on me. I arrived at customer service window 4:47 PM and greeted, hey how you doing I'm here to pull the trunk lid pull down motor, she replies that we're close. So I replied that I was the guy that just called about 10 min ago, asking about what time do you close? She stated , that pulling stops at 4:45 pm. I pleaded, hey can I pulled the part, it only has three screws and I have my ratchet, here's my money you can post your transaction tomorrow, please. She reply no come back tomorrow . Conclusion: I drove all the way up there never saw the Cadillac or the trunk motor. I hope management review these and...
Read moreI recently made the mistake of paying a visit to this junkyard, and let me tell you, it was a colossal disappointment. As you step inside, brace yourself for the usual routine of having to break a sweat to dig out your own parts. But here's the kicker, folks. Despite cross-referencing items, they still have the nerve to demand retail prices for items that are nothing more than used, crusty, and frequently in a sorry state of disrepair. I had the unfortunate experience of picking up three trim pieces that were so caked in dirt and grime, it was like they came straight from a mud bath. And to add insult to injury, they had the audacity to present me with a bill of $45 for this sorry assortment of goods. Frankly, I could've gotten these items shipped to me for a fraction of the cost of entering this place, hunting down the car I needed, and working my tail off to wrestle the parts I needed into my possession. So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this joint if you have even a smidgen of regard for your hard-earned money. It's not the kind of place I'd ever recommend to anyone in search of affordable, top-quality used auto parts. If I could put 0...
