McDonald's Meats — Local services in Clear Lake

I finally decided to check this place out. I grew up not far from Louie’s Finer Meats in Wisconsin and this place is no Louie’s Finer Meats. I spent $65 and regret it. I tried the Cajun beef jerky first. Dry, bitter flavor and cayenne pepper. Next, I tried the original flavor and it tasted exactly the same sans the pepper. Inedible and my children won’t eat it either. It is the worst jerky that I have ever eaten and I’m not using hyperbole.

Next, I tried the garlic cheddar summer sausage. This is edible but not very good. That’s really about all you get for $65 at this place. There was a sign on the door that said “free samples” but I didn’t see any samples anywhere. If they had samples, I wouldn’t be writing this review. It was 5 PM on a Monday evening and no other cars were in the parking lot which is telling.

Maybe they have some other good products but it’s mostly frozen foods and unremarkable looking as it’s all covered in frost. I’ll never go back as I have learned my lesson. I will note the place was clean and the young lady who rang me up was very...

Meat is great staff are incompetent. I always had a good experience up until this point. I buy a quarter cow to feed my family from a local farmer I work with. McDonald’s does the cutting. I purchased my last quarter in July i received a message today from a woman named Melissa stating that they have don’t have record of my payment. I said I don’t know what to tell you I paid like every time before. You have to pay then they sign your receipt paid and the person who loads your meat checks the receipt before you receive your meat. She told me I need to look through m7 months worth of account statements or provide a receipt obviously I don’t hand on to a meat receipt for 7 months. I don’t remember what card or credit or debit (I have around 7 ) I used really disappointed they made a clerical error and contact me 7 months later as if it’s my fault. I’m sure it doesn’t happen often but...

Wow!! Completely updated the place! Just not even close to the same. Amazing new store, lots of room with lots of new stuff. I mean really, what says i mean business more than a grocery cart in a meat market!

Best place to get fresh meat. Lots of different summer sausage and jerky. Awesome location, helpful folks, great place. And there's always a section in the back where you can sample... just sayin'.

One of the best things is, in the summers every weekend there is a cook out that serves grilled chops, brats etc, with proceeds going to the cause that is being sponsered that weekend. Volunteers from this organizations cook and serve such as the Homeless vets, boyscouts, gurls gymnastics. Always stop in and help those causes when in the area.
