Cleburne Golf Links — Local services in Cleburne

First time and last time we ever play at this golf course. The lady for checking in was rude and straight attitude as soon as we entered. Which we were late and we did appreciate allowing us to play. We had a group of old men ahead of us playing slow so we sat and patiently waited on them and we were approached a total of 4 times from employees telling us we need to speed up , even though we were on track and we had to wait for the people infront of us. We decided to play while the others were still on the green since we were being rushed and the people ahead of us got mad. And soon after we decided just to wait our turn and a old man who works there asked to join us and turns out he was just watching us and making sure we hurried up. At that point we decided to leave on hole 10. Its just outrageous how we were being treated even though it wasn’t our fault we had a group of old people infront of us being slow. Which im not blaming them. I just didn’t like the way we were being treated. The employees just kept harassing us for no reason, I WOULD NEVER COME BACK. The greens were dry and grass needs a cut. Terrible service, we are military service and got treated horribly, probably because we were Hispanics. We have played in golf courses that cost $500 to play and some that were $29 and never had treatment like this.WORST GOLF...

Just an FYI: I've been play this game for over 30yrs now, and I'm 66, so I know this game fairly well and have been around many golf course across the country. I played this course to today and it was TERRIBLE, they shouldn't even allow the course to be open with the greens in the condition that they are, the Fairway have Crabgrass all over it! All 18 greens are BARE! Now the clubhouse attendant mention that there are Poa Annua on the greens, but he didn't mention that all 18 greens on the course was Bare as well! (Atrocious). (watch the video).They're still charging regular prices to play it as well! They should either close the course down and put money into the course and allow the greens to return or use temporary hole and shut down all 18 greens! Now I did Eagle the 7th hole! (Par 5) and look at the putting green itself, what you're looking at is dirt! The best part of the playing the course was the CART PATHS are exceptional!! Now that's really saying something about this course... The scenary is nice over looking Lake Pat Cleburne, with a very nice clubhouse. But I wouldn't recommend playing...

Landscaping was decent, pro shop was nice enough but the Marshall was terrible. We were playing a 4-man scramble with 2 guys that never play golf it was just a casual birthday celebration. We drove off cart path, unknowing we weren’t supposed to, and the Marshall comes over with a smug attitude and tells we can’t drive off the path which is fine but also proceeds to tell us we have to have 4 sets of clubs to play with 4 people. Not everyone can afford clubs and not everyone plays enough to justify a full set of clubs, only one person at a time can hit and we’re playing best ball so we could gotten through with 1 set of clubs. We finished 18 holes in just under 4 hours so we did not hold anyone up. To top off the experience one member left their driver cover on the cart and the Marshall gets an attitude as we’re returning the carts and says “I’ll hold on to it” no you’ll give it back.
