Purchased a Catnapper recliner sofa & chair April 2012. In less than 1 year the material wore thin on one seat cushion, the local company I purchased it from said it was a material defect and repaired it. Immediately the Furniture went into covered/dry storage when I was married, for a period of 8 months, while we were relocating. We have been using it now for 1 year, the other two seat cushions and the back of 2 cushions have the same issue, the material has worn so thin, holes have appeared. I paid close to $800 for this sofa, their warrantee only covers material for 1 year. However, they advertise "Designed for comfort, made to last". Since I have moved out of state from where the original purchase was made, I have had to deal directly with Catnapper company - they have sent material for me to repair the seat cushions when I contacted them 2 months ago, with the understanding I paid for hiring someone to do it. But now they will not warrantee the material for the back peices, and tell me they should not have sent the seat ones, that I already had gotten. I am waiting to hear back from the customer service "manager" as I type this (they wouldn't let me speak with the CEO). I surely hope they stand behind their furniture - cause I've purchased a lemon! Also, one of the mechanisms had a peice of plastic fall out, the recliner still works, but the handle is very loose and flimsy. I have no children and till I got married I lived alone - and even now it's just my husband and I, and we take very good care of our stuff. I am not happy at all with the Catnapper customer service or with the material defects on my sofa and I will have to replace it in the house we recently purchased, which is way sooner than I should of had to. If they don't make this right....it will NOT be another Catnapper! I also need a sofa for our Man Cave. If Catnapper takes care of my existing problems, I will consider them, the furniture was comfortable - it just...
Read moreThe leather sectional arrived defective from the manufacturer. I have paid too much to receive such a poor quality item. DO NOT PURCHASE JACKSON-CATNAPPER products, they are terrible quality. The manufacturer damage to this couch includes staples through the leather, poor quality fill and not enough of it. Puckered leather, drooping dust covers with holes or cuts in the material. The back of the chaise is very loose and barely attached. Imperfections in the grain surface of the leather. Broken stitching. Accent pillows with broken zippers. This couch should have never passed quality control; yet here it is, delivered to my living room. To be informed by the store where I made the puchase, that I must pay a 50% restocking fee to return an item so heavily damaged is completely ridiculous. I didn't just change my mind, I received a sub par product. This is not what I paid for.
It was hard to imagine that I would have reason to become even more frustrated, yet here we are. A few days ago, the horribly manufactured couch was scheduled to be repaired after waiting for 5 months. One of the new pieces was completely wrong, not even the right part. Another piece was too small and unusable. A third piece didn't even match the rest of the couch. And all of the peices have horrible fold lines from the packaging, and these don't come out of the leather, the rest of the couch that's been here since August is a testament to that. We've tried it your way, the so called repair was a complete failure. Please have the owner contact me. I will not accept another attempted repair. This couch needs to be returned, it should never have passed quality control.
The chaise is completely a different height from the section beside it, and it leans back much futher. The casing at the back of the chaise is very obviously much longer than the section beside it and the casing drags the ground. And the gap between the chaise and the next section...
Read moreI have a catnapper sofa and recliner. They were purchased and then delivered to my home in May of 2011. In a short time thereafter I noticed the center cushion of the sofa extending further and further past the end cushions. I rarely am in the room where this furniture is located but after about 18 months I started to investigate what was causing this, The liner that holds the cushion in place was totally deteriorated. I called the store I purchased the furniture from and they said to call the manufacturer. Because I had had it over a year they would not repair it but would send the cushion and liner to the store it was purchased from and their repair person would be able to repair it. All this at my expense. By the time the parts came in and were repaired I noticed all the corners were starting to peel. I tried to find a way to repair this but there was nothing available. Yesterday I saw a split in one of the folds on the upper cushion. I tried again to contact customer service and talked with a lady that ask me to take pictures and email them to her. She provided an email address and a phone number. The email address is invalid. I went online and found the email address for the company and sent one to that address. It is also invalid. I then tried the phone number that had been provided and got a voice mail sing "out of office" will return call. No return call. Tried again 2 hours later. Same results. End results are I have over $2000.00 dollars worth of pathetic looking furniture. The good thing is this room is rarely used. The bad thing is when it is used it is for company. I am 71 years old, have grown children and grown grandchildren. There has not been any abuse or heavy use of this furniture since it was purchased. I would suggest looking elsewhere...
