Unfortunately, I had a very rude interaction with an older woman behind the desk when I went into to buy some clothes. I was the last person in the line, with no one else behind me. Two women were working the register and all the shops were wide open. I took my clothes up for purchase. She then goes, very rudely “the only open register is down the hall in another store”…I was so taken aback by the response that I just said “oh, ok. Nevermind”. To which she responded “fine!”
The idea that all the stores would be open with folks behind the register and not be able to check people out is pretty silly. They weren’t doing anything else and here I am trying to give them money. More importantly, they simply should have been nicer about the interaction. How would I have known they didn’t want people buying stuff at the time - no signs, just a rude cashier. My fault for thinking a store sold things! Maybe she was having a bad day but I won’t be back. Never had such a rude experience...
