Store is good for produce and meats are a little pricey. The deli is a joke. This is the second time we have been in 3 weeks and the okra is hard and crunchy. If you ask for something to be freshly made they will look at you like your speaking a different language. We asked if they could make us a crispy chiken sandwich and was told no theu dont make them. Come on people you have buns you have chicken stips put them together and bam you have a crispy chicken sandwich. Asked if we could have fries and was told they have wedges but no longer make fries. As we were eating another couple ordered hamburger and fries ( that they no longer make) and magically that lady's fries were on her plate. ( but they no longer make fries) was going to ordered two different meals and was told we cant order more because my firat meal already had okra. So needless to say i got fish which was surpising good and hard crunchy okra and my friend got a bowl of veggies due to us not allowed to order her food since i had got okra. Her veggies were good and seasoned well. Ended up going to the grocerypart and bought her a chiken to make her own chiken...
Read moreI usually love going to United. One of my favorite is the deli but today i was dissatisfied. We ordered a turkey and swiss sandwich and got ham instead. I would have complained but i didn't want to cause a seen. Not to Minton when we are at the deli more recently (different staff than before) the people taking our order basically only talk to my husband. I really dont mind it that much usually. But today i was bothered by the way it seemed like us being there was an inconvenience. I don't get to eat away from home a whole lot so i was upset about my experience today. Iv been in the food service industry for many years, infact most of my life and still am. It is always service with a smile, ignollaging each customer and so forth. Iv gotten into the habbet of just letting my husband ordered and i walk away from the counter just so i don't have to feel invisible. Just a note from experience, always be respectful to your customers. The rest of my shopping experience was wonderful and the cashier and bagger were absolutely amazing as allways! I will definitely be back for grocery shopping but probably not to...
Read moreAs expensive as groceries are these days, it's nice to have some customer service to soften the blow. If you like to be completely ignored by cashiers, this is the place for you. Mary D. Not even once ACKNOWLEDGED we were there because she was so engrossed in a conversation with the bagger about her kids. I'm honestly surprised she even handed me my receipt, but she even continued her conversation while doing that. She did, however, stop chatting long enough to tell me I saved $6 though, so there's that. The bagger did offer to take our groceries to the car, but I said "no worries, continue your conversation, I got it". I live in Houston, which is known for rudeness and hostility but have NEVER been a grocery store that did not have impeccable customer service/ interaction. Next time I visit my daughter, I will make the drive to Abilene for groceries because apparently Clyde Tx is too small to know manners or...
