Valley Meats — Local services in Coal Valley

Valley Meats is a great place to come to if you are going to pick up or deliver any load. I am a truck driver who regularly comes here to pick up loads and I have never had any issues here. THESE GUYS TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS . There is limited parking here but the professionalism and performance of the employees here is exceptional.Rodney, the night shift supervisor is a true professional. He always goes above and beyond his duties to ensure his loads are accurate in weight and content and he always goes out of his way to resolve any issues that might arise during the pickup or delivery of any loads on his shift. He is very congenial and I always look forward to picking up my loads here because I know he will address any issues that I might have so that the loads get out in time. As a driver who picks up loads here 3 times a week, I can truly say that Valley Meats is a great place to come to if coming to pick up or deliver any loads. I can attest to the professionalism of the employees here and I can assure you Rodney will always do his best to resolve any issues in order to get these loads picked up or delivered. He is a true professional who has always exceeded my expectations as a supervisor and wish that a lot of my other regular customers could have have supervisors more like him. This guy rocks!!! Had a 11 pm appointment and arrived at 10:30 at night. There is a number on the receiving door for you to call and check in. Made the call and about 10 minutes later someone came to my truck to collect my paperwork. At around midnight he came back and gave me a door to back into. Took about an hour to get unloaded. And had my paperwork in hand and driving off the lot around 1am. The tricky part delivering here is where the unloading docks are at the back of the building. Follow US 150 to Coal Valley and turn Right on 1st Street. My GPS took me straight to this location. Once you turn onto 1st Street, you'll be tempted to turn Right to get get to the docks BUT TURN LEFT onto 24th Street and and then back up on 24th towards the docks. This way you don't have to try and turn around or try to blind side back in. There isn't enough room to do either. 24th Street Dead Ends at their Docks. There is very little room for parking and most of that is taken up by their own delivery trucks. If too many trucks show up at once it's extremely difficult to maneuver. I arrived in the area early so I called and they were able to work me in. That was kind of a fluke. The area can be a little tight, but as long as you listen to instructions you'll be fine. As others have stated turn left on the 24th and then back across the intersection and into the parking space at the end of the dead end by the docks. If you turn right on the 24th Street you will not be able to get into the dock area unless you happen to have a little box truck. Getting into the dock is a little tight but totally doable. Friendly staff. Very efficient. Very fast unloading. I had absolutely no problem with them and still would not have had a problem with them even if they could not have worked me in earlier. Please be aware that there are residential neighbors to this delivery site. Be considerate of them as far as noise, how you drive around, and throwing out your garbage.
