My husband and I visited this establishment with our toddler for dinner on a Saturday night and I seriously canāt say enough fabulous things about it. Let me start by saying the service was absolutely fantastic. I didnāt catch our waitressā name, but she was very polite and attentive. She checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was prepared how we liked it and that we had everything we needed. The place didnāt have a single empty seat in it and there were 2 waitresses working and she rocked it. While the place was very busy, we were able able to find parking very easily. Also the loudness of a packed establishment was never overwhelming. We were able to sit comfortably and talk to each other and our son without having to raise our voices. The aesthetic of the place is really beautiful. You can really tell the owners took their time creating a comfortable atmosphere for their patrons. Finally the Star of the show was the food and drinks. We ordered cheese curds and the jumbo pretzel for appetizers. Both were wonderful. The pretzel was perfectly salted and the homemade beer cheese that came with it was quite possibly the best weāve had yet. My husband ordered the fried tenderloin and was mind blown by it. It was very big and the tenderloin patty was thickās and perfectly cooked. He ordered tenderloins literally everywhere we go and he boasted the rest of the night about it being the best tenderloin heās ever had. They also have Yuengling on draft which about made my hubbys heart beat out of his chest. He also got a Laws bourbon smoked with cherry, which he also loved. I donāt remember the name of it thought. I ordered a pineapple margarita and it was AMAZING! They clearly use fresh juices to make it and not premixed margarita mix. Then I also had a pear martini, because it was on special and I couldnāt not try it. It was out of this world. Thank god I didnāt start with that because two of those and I would have been on the floor. It was so good it felt dangerous. We already agreed that we will definitely have our next date night at Bourbons. Canāt wait...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time being here. All I have to say this is definitely a great spot in this area and it is outside of the QC area. Felt like I was put back in time and living in the Suthern states of KY, TN and VA area.
REVIEW Environment: it has a Suthern, Rustic, all American feeling. Proud to be an American restaurant and very welcoming and warm. It can go both ways, whether you are bringing in your family or friends. If you are in the military, or a cowboy/cowgirl, this is your ideal place. Hands down, A+
Waitress: Hilary was our waitress. She was so kind, she was very professional, she checked on us all the time to make sure we were good. She answered all the questions we had. She was very generous and awesome. Squared away, A+
Food: myself and my date ordered a 16" sausage/pepperoni pizza. It was very delicious, flavorable with a side of mini pretzel appetizer that was so good. A+
Drinks: I order the flight of the knot Rye bourbon. It comes with 3 glasses. A little bit under a half of the glass. The right serving size. If you like whiskey and bourbon. This is definitely the spot. The drinks were perfect from my standpoint and well served. My date had her usual vodka and tonic. The drinks were on point. A+
Clean vs dirty place: this place is super clean all around in the restaurant. A+
Location: it is definitely in the right spot, the drive from East Moline area to Coal Valley is about 10-15 minutes. A+
Prices: perfect price for the food and drinks. A+
People there: welcoming and they are all nice. With the hi, how are you, etc. A+
Overall review is an A+, 100% quality restaurant with a 5 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here on a Tuesday evening with my husband and another couple. They have a huge selection of bourbons, but we didn't imbibe. A friend had a Wild Turkey. At $6.00 a shot it was a little expensive. They also have a good wine list as well as beer. I had an Odouls non alcoholic beer and was disappointed they didn't offer a better list of non alcoholic beers! They should for designated drivers. Food was great! A dish of pulled pork nachos was ordered for the table and was the most delicious I've ever had! Very fattening though! I had the Bourbon burger without the bun and they were very good at offering extra lettuce for it. I had the coleslaw on side but didn't eat it as it had a weird bitter aftertaste. My husband had the grilled chicken bourbon sandwich with waffle fries and he loved it! Order sauce on side as it's rich! Also girlfriend had Cobb salad and loved it! Wait staff was friendly and helpful and didn't push alcoholic drinks like...
