I’ve been to this hospital 3 times and 2 of those times were a horrible experience. The first time was with a lady doctor who refused me treatment, with much hostility, after I told her I was a medical marijuana patient. When I told her what she was giving me does not work for me, she told me I could go home if I didn’t want to take it, again, with much hostility. The second time I went to this hospital I was with my fiance, who was experiencing a wide range of symptoms. They decided to put him on an IV and injected the IV with Benadryl. A few minutes later he started saying he did not feel okay, that something wasn’t right. When I looked at him his face had gone white, lips and his fingertips blue and he started convulsing on the hospital bed. His heart rate monitor started beeping relentlessly, his heart rate dropped down to around 20 before they turned the screen away and silenced the alarm. The one nurse in the room stood there staring, looking around the room with not a clue what to do. Another nurse came in who also seemed clueless. I ran out to the hallway and yelled for a doctor in hysterics, since at this point my fiance was literally screaming for help in the bed, saying something was wrong with his heart. I kept trying to ask them what was happening but no one answered me. They literally just stood there. The main nurse ended up walking out to get the doctor after I snapped and asked them why they were not responding to the situation, and while I understand they are meant to remain calm in such situations, there was truly not an ounce of urgency in his steps. He walked off like he was going to get a cup of coffee. After the doctor came back, I was told he was having a reaction to the Benadryl. When I asked them why they even gave him Benadryl, I did not receive a direct answer as to why. It seemed, to me, they gave him Benadryl just so there was something written down on paper that they had given him. The only 2 good things I can say about that particular visit was we did not spend any time in the waiting room, we got called straight back. And while the actual doctor he had was very efficient and thorough, did a full exam (before the IV) it was an incredibly traumatizing experience with no urgency or care for the episode my fiance had after THEY triggered it. The only other time I was here I saw Dr. Tug, and he was wonderful. That experience was great, but every other time was horrible and truly traumatizing, outweighing the only good experience I had here. I am honestly still shaken over this and it’s made me afraid to go back...
Read moreI went to the ER on April 13th. I had pain when urinating, felt weak and generally unwell. I begged for blood work. Meagan corrigan DO denied me blood work. I told her I had a recent labs done and had a high white count. She refused and said “white count doesn’t mean it’s an infection, it’s just inflammation “. I begged again, still a “NO” from her. I then said would you document stating I don’t need blood work, she said “yes”. I was given lidocaine gel to apply to my urethra for pain, and sent home. No blood work at all, despite telling her I had NUMEROUS symptoms and was suffering. I told her i had a high fever earlier in the day, and it came down with Tylenol. Her response was “you have no fever now, so you’re okay”. Again I asked for BLOODWORK and was refused. I have a witness, my mother was with me. I never in my life (as someone who is chronically ill been refused bloodwork).I informed her of all of the SERIOUS chronic illnesses I have, and she just let it blow right over her head. I was shocked at the lack of caring miss Meagan had. And the lack of empathy for someone suffering.I am typing this review from Saint Luke’s In orwigsburg as an inpatient. On the 15th I woke up with a fever of 104 degrees. I am septic. If miss Meagan could have done her job, I wouldn’t be septic right now, and she caused worse SUFFERING. She deserves to lose her license to practice medicine. The woman isn’t even practicing, she’s legit just negligent. As I said I have a witness. Everything said in this review is 100% true and factual. Google is not the only place I will be sharing this story. When/IF I get stronger and healed, I assure you this won’t be let go. I could have gone into septic shock and died. Blood would have been on Meagan’s hands. You need to SERIOUSLY intervene, before someone ends up dead. Again, I am an inpatient at Saint Luke’s In orwigsburg for SEPSIS and multiple other things they found, in my BLOODWORK that was refused to be done by Meagan corrigon DO. Meagan If you are reading this- your negligence landed me as an inpatient, with EXTREME suffering. You know what you did. Please go back to school or just quit. You almost killed me.
Editing to add- St Luke’s orwigsburg is AMAZING. The er doctor was PHENOMENAL! The staff, everyone amazing!!!! They immediately caught the sepsis and started treatment! They Tested EVERYTHING! They are slowly finding the cause of why I’m so sick! Maybe maegan should have been trained at...
Read moreSo I was just here 3 weeks ago for a week… while in the ER-2 nurses were walking by my room and 1 was extremely vocal for all the patients to hear- (not my nurse)… telling the other nurse she was walking with- “god, I hate patients !”…. My 12 year old autistic son was with me.. he was so upset … he didn’t want me being there but of course… I had no choice and I’ve been mistreated by the er nurses here in the past but again - it’s the nearest hospital so in an emergency situation- it’s where the ambulance will take you … that night at 3 am(mind you- I was told my son could stay with me … I don’t know the hospital rules…)… this large woman… I think the nurse admin or someone along those lines… barges in my room… yelling at me… saying “your son is not allowed to be here!!!!” I said ok - it’s 3 am and he’s sleeping and I’m laid up in a hospital bed- what would you like me to do at the moment- find him a ride at 3 am while he’s sleeping after I was told he could stay with me? She says”well, no, obviously not! But as soon as the sun comes up- you get him out of here! And don’t ever think about doing this again!!!!” (Mind you- I’m in extreme pain… haven’t slept … don’t know hospital rules and was told he could stay and this large, rude lady is yelling at me- the patient)……. I couldn’t believe that this was happening…This hospital needs serious help!!!!! Half the er staff needs to go bc they don’t know how to treat people… it’s disgusting … they also make you leave covered in blood and don’t bother cleaning your wounds or covering them, even after you ask them about 10 times if they could possibly help you with the blood leaking down your arm…. I mean…. Someone get this hospital some dang help!!!!! They also accuse you of coming to the er for pain meds… I don’t do drugs. I’m a single ft mom. But came in one day when I was extremely sick and the nurse said what would you like today? Pain pills? (Very rude). I was like wow….. did she just say that to me???? (If she did her homework and checked my history she would’ve seen I’m not exactly a pill person - they...
