I don't know how many reviews the same person allowed to place but this isn't my first and I'm sure will definitely not be my last for this Dollar General in particular. They placed Dollar General in every tiny little town anymore for convenience. It takes 15 minutes to get to Two different Dollar General. I use this one mainly because it's more on the way when we have to run errands. Both times we have run into the Dollar General to get Lipton iced tea and lactose free 2% milk. OK, those are pretty specific items but they are items nonetheless that they're supposed to have in stock but have been out of both items For five days now. That's two trips into the store to get stuff that they're out of stock. Tomorrow they'll be out of Heinz ketchup. Last week it was bushes baked beans. Some of their products have generic choices along with higher end brands. But it seems the higher end brands are never in stock so you're either left with getting the generic...if they even carry it. What makes it more frustrating is that there are carts full of products blocking up the isles and also displays of products blocking up the isles. Yet they have empty shelves and employees that have to rush around between the cash register, stocking, cleaning, ordering and everything else that they are expected to do on their own. You can complain or bring it to managements attention but they can do absolutely nothing about it. It may just be a coincidence but they're inability to keep shelves stocked has been going on since the Covid excuse. We stopped getting any kind of bulk grocery shopping done at Dollar General in general anymore because they're always out of half of the things we need. Now they're not even worth running 15 minutes for one or two items that they have neither in stock of. It's hit and miss when you stop at Dollar General if they're going to have what you need. For this trip, no sooner had I walked in the front doors and looked down and saw that they were still out of tea after five days, I handed the buggy over to my wife and said I'll be in the truck. She came back out empty-handed because not only were they still out of the tea but they were also out of my lactose free milk still. So we're gonna go down the road too the Ma and Pa's expensive...

My daughter and I were shopping tonight - we saw a sign that said GARDEN SUPPLIES BUY ONE GET HALF OFF. I started filling my basket with things for my large woodland fairy/gnome garden - how exciting it was! As we were putting the stuff in our basket, the night shift manager and another very bright haired employee practically moved/pushed my daughter out of the way and ripped down the buy one get one half off sign, as well as some other sale signs, right in front of us. They said nothing.

It's not like they were there, taking down signs, and we interrupted them on their duty. Not at all. They saw us shopping too much I guess and filling our basket with about 5-6 little dollar fairy garden statues and they pushed through to yank the sign down right after we were about done.

I wrongly assumed they would honor the price, since they saw us putting those things in the basket before they took the sign down. When I got to the register, the bright haired woman said no, they do not honor the pricing on signs if they are wrong. She told us the deal was over yesterday. I wonder if people bought some of that stuff today thinking it was on sale, and didn't check their receipts and got ripped off.

I didn't buy any of that crap and will now go OUT OF MY WAY to shop...

Absolutely love this dg compared to others. Everyone is always smiling and helpful! Every time I go in they are always hustling to get shelves stocked and help customers. Yes you will see a worker outside smoking because they're on a break but that same said worker will drop what they're doing on break just to come back in help you. I don't understand why so many ppl are leaving bad reviews. When you darn well those workers are the same ones you see day in and day out busting their hump to make sure the shelves are stocked as fast as possible. Yes you may have racks of items in the way but how else do you think those items get stocked. Sorry they don't have exactly what you need but apparently you k ow how to use a phone so call them and see if they have what you're looking not continously drive down there and get mad. Seems to me to be the bigger solution. It gets irritating seeing you ppl constantly bash the same worker/workers over again for doing exactly what you want them to do. Some of those workers are there running on no sleep, away from their kids, missing events and the only thing you can complain about is your own needs and self. Maybe you should thank them for showing up to work and...
