Captain Mike was an absolute pleasure to do business with! From booking your ride to getting out on the water. He will give you a quick 1-2 minute briefing on how to work the headsets and off you go. Mike knows exactly what you want from an airboat ride, pictures, close up encounters with wildlife (not the dangerous or scary kind but the instagram worthy kind), and to have a laugh. He will slow down before rounding corners and tell you to get your phone ready before you get to a spot with lots of gators. I am new to florida and my mom is here visiting we both walked away from this experience saying we couldn't wait to do it again. In fact I selfishly can't wait to have more family/friends visit just so I can take them out with captain Mike. The boat is large enough that you won't feel crammed in but small enough that you feel like your on a friends boat, not just a number in a money making operation. It is very clear Mike loves what he does and I highly recommend Insta Gator airboat rides when going out on the Saint John's River. Price is resonable and well worth the ride for this amazing experience!...

We tried to book with Capt Mike following his instruction to text for a reservation to which he would reply promptly. I texted at 11:30am; and my text was read. No reply. I texted again at 7:15pm; and finally received a reply at 10:24pm offering us a 2pm slot the next day. I accepted 6 minutes later (10:30pm).

The next day we arrived 15 minutes early, Capt Mike arrived at the dock at 2:20pm; dropping off another group. When my husband approached he asked my husband if we were the Univ of S. Florida group; my husband replied no that I had booked his 2pm ride. When I approached he first told me he had no confirmation, I told him i confirmed 6 min after he offered me the 2pm slot. He then started that his engine was overheating and he couldn't take us out. He then said he could take us on Thursday, but my sister was leaving on Wednesday.

Whatever the real reason, we were all extremely disappointed. Either way, I hope the USF group had a great ride or his engine overheating issue was...

Long story short-this is the BEST ride you can book. Long story..... I have NEVER experienced such an amazing time...and let’s be honest I absolutely am terrified of reptiles and you know, everything that moves. My boys’ (ages 15, 11, 7) and my boyfriend (age not disclosed) love adventure and frankly I thought airboat would be cool....we are here for 4 days, thought it would be could. Looked at reviews and Liked this one. I honestly canNOT even imagine a time would be better. Mike was honest, funny, and truly knowledgeable about what he was showing us! Captain Mike literally made this vacation for my boys’. In the words of my son, “I don’t think disney is going to top this, best day ever!” And I couldn’t sum it up better. Literally the best tour, with an amazing captain. If you want an airboat ride to see the environment and some serious gators and birds and everything offered, this truly is the tour you should book! Can’t wait to come back and...
