I come here often normally love the place! However, this last time was a doozy!! This is the last three times I've gotten sick from this place. We normally sit outside not a problem I'm a former carnival worker so I understand the whole outside with food type of business. The scenery is wonderful I always love to see the Gators! This last time today the 6th of January 2021 went there for lunch with my friend whom I go with all the time! We drink whiskey and Coke, short glasses, after my first drink due to the lighting of the sun I noticed Little ant like bugs in my drink yes I already consumed it by now! Ordered another round for her and I, as soon as I got that drink first thing I did was look for these ant like looking bugs!! NO WAY FOUND SOME MORE... I instantly got the waitress trying not to make a scene and explain the situation. My friend and I are now ready to leave the waitress offers to make me another drink but that would now be three with bugs in it and I'm good!! When the check comes, I am highly not expecting to pay for two out of the four drinks that were ordered!! We do have to pay for 3 of 4 drinks... Reason being, quoted, WELL YOU DID CONSUME THE 1ST"....UMMM I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE BUGS TILL I FINISHED MY 1ST DRINK!! I DID NOT DRINK THE 2ND OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR THAT ONE WHERE IS MY COMPENSATION OR THING REGARDING MY FIRST DRINK! USED TO BE MY FAVORITE PLACE WHOEVER TOOK OVER WAITRESSES BARTENDERS I DON'T CARE IT'S AN ABSOLUTE MESS AND DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING TO HAVE A BELLY ACHE OR DAMN NEAR DIE RIGHT!! BECAUSE THE LAST TIME I WENT I COULDN'T CONFIRM IT HOWEVER OVER A LEMON I DAMN NEAR DIED...

Lone Cabbage Fish Camp is the perfect slice of Old Florida charm, tucked right on the scenic St. John’s River. Whether you’re there for the food, the views, or the adventure, this place delivers on all fronts.
The gator tail here is hands-down the best around—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. It’s a must-try dish, even if you’ve never had gator before. The rest of the menu holds its own, too, with classic Southern seafood favorites served in generous portions.
Adding to the experience are the airboat tours that launch right from the dock. They’re a thrilling and unforgettable way to explore the river and surrounding marshlands. The guides are knowledgeable and entertaining, making it fun for visitors of all ages.
The atmosphere is spot-on—laid-back, welcoming, and full of character. Sitting outside by the water with a cold drink in hand feels like a little escape from the everyday.

Read more7/8/2020 @3 PM - The location is more rural and the views were pleasant. The interior of the building can use some cleaning and improvement. Our server was Sofie or Sophie, however her name is spelled. After thirty minutes into the experience, we asked our server about shrimp which turned into a long conversation with her telling lies. Lone Cabbage does not serve proper shrimp. We disagreed with our server when she accused my mother of rolling her eyes, disrespected her and walked away. Sofie or Sophie never returned to us after that.
But we would see her in the kitchen or walking by us giving us snobbish stares totally ignoring us. After finishing our meal, we spoke to the manager Denise who was very dishonest and insulting accusing my mother of tapping her drinking glass and being rude which never happened. We were very polite throughout the experience. We were slightly dumbfounded that the manager would make up a stupid lie about my mother tapping her drinking glass. Thanks for the laugh. We will...
