CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED:

I paid Intechtel $1800 to install Starlink. I told them I have a lot of trees around my cabin and might need it installed in a tree like my neighbors. They assured me they'd bring a bucket truck but when their tech, Tom, showed up, he didn't have a bucket truck.

Tom, installed it on the roof of my cabin instead. I didn't know much about how this worked but he assured me my speeds are high. I tested it and it worked. However, shortly there after I realized my Internet was fast when it was connected but dropped because of the trees every few minutes for 60+ seconds. So emails didn't go through. Work calls couldn't happen. The reason I had Starlink installed was pointless.

I reached back out to Tom and asked what could be done. He ghosted me. I reached back out a second time, no response.

I had to pay another $800 for a tree company to come install it in a tree like these guys should've done from the beginning.

Had a computer blue screen. I looked around online for computer repair shops and due to the review ratings they have, I called them. While the price they quoted for troubleshooting was not the cheapest price I was quoted, I decided to go with them.

I am happy to say that I received what I feel is a value far in excess of the slightly higher troubleshooting fee. They not only fixed it fast but did a few other extra things to help it run cooler and better.

There was a short in a networking card causing it to crash (bluescreen) and not reboot. James identified the issue, called me and asked how I connected to my internet (I told him by ether cable - it’s faster) and then told me that unless I wanted another wireless network card, that I don’t need, my computer is ready to go.

It was all covered under the original trouble shooting fee.

I’m sharing this long version to emphasize that they did not try to sell me anything I did not need and that is what I can appreciate about their integrity.

Intechtel did the work on my fully finished home. I had them run CAT throughout the house, installed security cameras, fiber and some COAX. Everything went smoothly. I got a few quotes from different companies around the Spokane area and was very impressed on when they came out to the house for the walk through for a quote.

I worked with Tom on my project and he did a great job with everything. He was always on time and did great work from running the lines, to making very few cuts into drywall and making the server rack look great. I knew since there was no unfinished parts of the house that it was going to be a bit of hassle getting the CAT ran, but Tom did a way better job than what I expected going into it. He also put up with some of my questions as I love to tinker with networking and always love to learn more. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a few helpful hints on everything.
