On September 24... Was acutely ill. Blood pressure over 200, rapid heart rate, fever. Coughing up yellow stuff. Was sent from urgent care to er. Er refused to check anything. Didn't do an exam. Agreed to run chest xray, and magically results were posted in under 10 minutes from the time they started test, claiming normal. Insisted everything respiratory is viral and we don't treat viral. Then proceeded to inform me that great news the viral lab tests from urgent care are back and are all negative. Dr informs me that I'm not actually sick? Sends me home without treatment. This is insane. Gaslighting is toxic and shouldn't have a place in medicine.
On September 26... return to er.... In acute distress. Blood dripping from nose, ears. Coughing up blood and green goo. Eyes bloodshot. Struggling to speak. Have had no treatment. Am in extreme pain. Having recurrent vomiting and diarrhea both turning to blood. Return to er. Er checks nothing. Says my vitals are normal. Insists I don't need any treatment. Insists all respiratory are viral. Dr Cameron insists I've been tested for viral therefor I'm not sick with infection. Says that she can check same viruses again but will probably get same results. Provides no path towards treatment. I walk out after repeatedly coughing up green stuff and throwing up blood in bathroom. No where to turn. Hurting horribly. This er is not ok.
Within few days... bedridden. Coughing up thick white stuff then failing to cough up. Extreme chest pain. Severe bruising on abdomen and side. Bruises on arms and legs no injury. Still sick. Cant locate treatment. This er isn't ok. Really think that I should have at least gotten a survey to tell someone what's happening to me due to medical neglect? Cruel nurse was accurate though, I wasn't dying, I'm just in horrible pain and suffering. Mercer shouldn't be doing this to people. The er staff...
Read moreI've had friendlier experiences at gas stations in bad neighborhoods. Do Not Bring Your Kids Here. Only as a last resort. They don't do regular checkups throughout the night-I've stayed up with my child and waited. They always had to finish their own conversations with each other before i could talk to them about my DYING CHILD. The following morning my child needed a breathing treatment and they thought that was a good time to ram is with questions about what we wanted for the next day's breakfast. My child was already in distress with the breathing treatment and needed me and my wife, we didn't care about food at that moment. My wife had to go outside to make a phone call and during that time, without warning, they came in and needed a blood sample. I wanted my wife to come in first so she can confort my child. They tried to get the blood before that. I said we're waiting! The bed sheets have blood from our child from the first night and haven't been changed. With a life threatening respiratory infection, this is unacceptable. The worst part is the doctor betting unsure about what to do. And she forgot she was with the wrong patient. UNACCEPTABLE!! I was done being polite. Things were done when we the parents wanted them done. Last resort and only if you don't have time for Dayton's children's hospital. Dayton, Ohio has the best hospitals around. Fort Wayne, Indiana also had the best hospitals- me being a great example. They saved my life when i was a kid and Mercer Health was unable to do anything else for me. Thankfully ii was care flighted over there. Parents, future patients, beware of Mercer Health. Please for your own health beware...
Read moreI knew better then to go to Mercer health but was in that area and my son had fever of 105 and had not had a wet diaper in over 12 hours and had not drank in 16 hours. Of course they had to do blood and I asked them to please put iv so he would not be poked twice because I knew he would need fluids. They said the doctor did not want to because he is autistic and would just pull it out. An hour later Dr Cameron comes in looking extremely unprofessional and says his lab work is great!!!!! We’re gonna give him a shot of rochepin and send you home. While I was waiting I received all of his labs via mychart. If his labs were great why was he getting a shot? But there was not a single normal lab. She straight up lied to my face then told me my son was not dehydrated and she would not be giving fluids. We left the hospital and one hour later got my chart notification he had adenovirus. We drove to children’s and are on our second night admitted and he’s getting plenty of fluids and care from real doctors who actually care about patients. Every doctor in that ER hates their job. Please drive the extra half hour to go to a...
