Venture Foods — Local services in Coldwater

For a tiny town market, Venture sure tries its best. They've often got some of the latest products that you'd find in higher-end stores; meanwhile, their produce, especially their apples, look good most of the time. There's only a few occasions where we've been disappointed with the produce. But we're a small town, so we're lucky to get fresh produce at all.

The meat selection is usually satisfactory to mouth-watering, depending upon the day. (We're borderline vegetarians, so the meat selection often goes unnoticed. Except for the chicken, which is generally pretty good. I know I love to grab the split-breast chicken and boil it down to get the meat to make chicken noodle soup, chicken enchiladas, etc. Damned good.)

Very nice little store for our small town. We are very lucky to have it. All the employees are nice and the manager will try and get you anything if you ask him to order for you. I understand it's hard to probably get stuff in our small town, and he does his best. Only downside I find is make sure you check your expiration dates on everything! There is often expired...

Fresh produce is not eye appealing. Old, and should be removed!! Very limited brands. Some I have not seen previously. Not sure it is sanitized .Always feel the need sanitize my hands, and any personal item after visiting the store.. Also ck expiration dates...
