Range USA Cincy West — Local services in Colerain Township

Love point blank (not calling it range max as that just sounds ridiculous) & 4 the most part its always been a fun place to shoot unless you get some cowboy range officer or even some obnoxious shooter next to you which both on occasion happen. Their prices are suspiciously higher on firearms that is undeniable however they do have good selection which is not always the case elsewhere unless your at a gun & knife show. They typically have a good selection of ammunition but that's kind of high now as well. Didn't always used 2 be that way. I understood to a small measure why it was higher during a pandemic & shortages & all but it shouldn't have been drug along this long. It's may 2022 & even with the recent 8 % increase in munitions a 50 round box of brass 9mm should be no more than say $17 or $18 dollars a box not $25 for a box of remanufactured ammunition or 25 dollars for s&b or some equivalent while on sale. I know it must sound as if I'm bashing point blank but allow me to explain why I'm not at all. Point blank is clear, clean & product very well situated & their formate is easy to comprehend. Firearm selection is super easy to navigate & again not something all places do well. At all. Most places are dirty, obstructed & have every caliber known to man & women mixed in with one another. As for their staff goes far more often than not they are amazing. Take there west location & blue ash both of them in Cincinnati. I won't name names as this is the internet, but quite a few of them are not just some staff member at point blank but they are friends of mine my husband's & or young son & are the reason we always come back. I resented seeing most of them move from west to east location as they are now further away. Save for this minor inconvenience we love the place & will continue referring & buying from Point blank in the future or range max or whatever ...

Good: I have been to this store about ten to fifteen times since it opened. Every time the customer service has been great. If the representative who was helping me didn't know much about a particular model/brand, he/she would get someone else who did know. I have made several major purchases and was always served well during the process. Representatives have shown extreme patience and understanding while waiting for me to look up reviews, facts, videos, or even just think about making the purchase. They are always willing to break down a firearm and answer all questions. Richard is a representative who was especially helpful to me. He has extensive knowledge in firearms in general and especially certain models/brands. He even oiled a firearm I purchased and told me everything I needed to know about maintenance for about half an hour so I could shoot it for the first time knowing it was ready. Representatives have also expedited purchases because I was short on time. On a final note, the facilities are maintained well. It is cleaner and makes me feel safer than other local shops/ranges. You will see a range officer often when shooting.

Bad: Prices are a little more than other local shops/ranges. Also, there have been some products that they have not had in stock for a long time(or maybe sell out often). I would ask about the product and they said they would order it, but every time I go they don't have it. They have missed a couple sales to me for this reason. I would like to point out that these bad remarks do not come close to making this a 4 star review.

I would recommend Point Blank West...

Went to Point Blank with my wife on 7-7-2020 between 12-1230 the male employee was on the phone the whole time we were there and the female employee that was with a couple customers apparently don't know about the social distancing rules because she brought her customers over to where we were forcing us to move not once but two different times the second time the employee took the specific gun out of the case that my wife was looking at to show the people she was helping which was very rude and disrespectful to us at that point my wife decided it was not the store she wanted her new gun from. I had wrote this review before but took it down when someone from the store replied to the review asking us to send information so a employee could contact us. At that point I thought someone would call to apologize for the uncomfortable experience at their store but no such luck because no one contacted us. Definitely won't be wasting anymore time on this place not to mention we were never even acknowledged until walking out that another female employee sitting by the door told us to have a nice day which we did because my wife ended up getting the same gun she wanted 30 dollars cheaper at the store we went to after leaving...
