First of all, the name is misleading. As others have pointed out, the selection is literally only truffles, and a select few flavors. Not what I would expect from a "garden" of chocolate. The store also stocks several tables with the same flavors so as to give the appearance of selection. And if you don't care to pay $3 per truffle, then this place is not for you. For all those billboards and hype, I didn't think it was worth it. During my visit, I got the cayenne kick and the orange ginger truffles. I did really enjoy the cayenne kick truffles (and it is a good, delicious kick). The orange ginger truffles tasted dirt-like, and I love ginger so not sure what was going on there. The staff members were pretty meh on the customer service. The surrounding area has many fun options (delicious wine, amazing tacos, fun kid activities), but I would probably not include the chocolate garden in my "must...

To those that are concerned about price, you shouldn't be if you go into the experience with the right mind-set. This isn't like the chocolate shop down the road. These are hand made truffles people. $3/ea for a truffle from a nationally-recognized chocolatier is well worth the price. If you are expecting Lindor Truffles, then spare yourself the trip and go elsewhere. If you want a deliciously rare experience, then be sure to make...
Read moreThis is a cute place to stop for a treat, and the truffles are amazing. If you're looking for high end chocolate truffles, these are definitely worth it. But if you're passing by on I-94 and decide to make a special stop, you might be disappointed. Despite the fact that The Chocolate Garden is in a cute little house, you can take a look around in five minutes or less. So unless you really want to drop a bunch of cash on chocolate truffles, don't show up just for the experience of visiting. Of course, if you take into account that Grandpa's Cider Mill is just down the street, along with several big local produce stands, it's a great area to pull off the freeway for...
