If we could give 10 stars to Izzy, we would rate our experience a 10! From the designing, to the execution our experience was great! This dining table is made of black walnut. Izzy also made us two small side tables from elm wood. Everything is beautiful and well made! Our dining table needed to be large enough to seat 12 for entertaining. We wanted live- edge, but softened so kids wouldn’t scratch themselves. We also wanted a black river, yet didn’t want anything to look “too perfect”. We prefer things off center, and edgy yet pretty, matte vs. polished. Finding legs was a cinch with the website he sent us to choose from. We wanted one single leg that could support the size of the table- and we found one that is perfect for our taste. Modern, a bit masculine, and unusual. We love the way it turned out! His prices are so reasonable, especially for a custom made piece like this. We also had Izzy build us 2 side tables. An unusual choice was elm wood- we love the rings and also the matte finish. I can't say enough about iB Woodworks and Ianthus Barlow! Our treasured live edge wood table that we brought to Utah from Hawaii was in rough shape. It had separated and cracked due to making a pit stop in Texas and enduring the heat there. We were devastated at the thought that it might not be repairable, but then someone referred us to iB Woodworks. Ianthus not only repaired our table, but made it even better than new, reinforcing it and replacing the epoxy with a beautiful blue one. He picked up the table at our home, continuously updated us on projects and checked in on the work to be done and how we wanted to proceed at each step.
