I’m feeling very grateful tonight because our cashier at Target saved Christmas!
We are traveling out of state to spend Christmas with our children who live with their mom in Colorado, and found out last second that our youngest son’s mom had already given him the same gift we’d gotten him. We pulled into Target right as they closed, and the doors were already locked and barricaded with carts. I ran in through the out door when I saw someone leaving, raced back to the electronics, and grabbed a different gift he’d wanted. Every employee I ran past was helpful and understanding, even though I was messing with their Christmas Eve.
We didn’t have our wallets, and Apple Pay wasn’t working. I guess our account was flagged because we’ve been traveling from out of state. We called and tried several other things but it still wouldn’t work. I was feeling so sad that Christmas would be a let down for our youngest son. Then Miranda opened her wallet and pulled out her own card. She paid for our son’s gift, which was over $70, with not even a thought of getting paid back. She just gave it.
We insisted on paying her back through PayPal, and her manager was very patient and kind while we reinstalled PayPal, etc. I asked her if she would get in trouble if I sent a comment about what she did, and she said not at all. Her manager even got on her walkie talkie and had the employees give her a round of applause when I told her about it and thanked her for letting me and my husband sprint in like that.
I am feeling so grateful for Miranda’s selfless and generous act. I will never forget her kindness....
Read moreI noticed that the guy gathering carts outide was also someone taking care of the self check out line when i came in. A lot of things out of stock in the produce area. Seemed like they were shorthanded. Maybe hiring should be done? The guy who checked me out had absolutely no idea on how to bag. I had a cart full of heavy items i was loading on the belt: canned items, milk, juice, large container of cold brew... you know... things that typically get put in first to avoid destroying other fragile/soft iems that were just purchased... he started by putting my romaine lettuce, lunch meat and sliced cheese in first. I really couldn't believe it. I had to adk that he not put those otems in first. He seemed confused on the logic behind that. Target, don't you train your employees on how to bag? I had to do it myself, which is not what should happen given i wasn't in the self- checkout line. Please, kindly,...
Read moreAll I can say is I cannot believe all these people that actually like to use the the self checkout instead of having customer service. They had one check out open at about 11:50 Sunday in the morning and the rest of the people were waiting self check-out lines which are a mile long. I'm just surprised that Target would not have a few registers open other than just one which goes to say that I guess people just don't want to go through checkouts and get waited on a little bit. I don't know or we're just being trained to do that.
Meaning they do not have enough workers to keep the store running. Apparently it could be a shortage of workers and what I'm thinking. Nobody wants to work for that one. Maybe the managers are not that great so they all leave could be part of it. Poor management usually can cause that type of issue. They overwork them and underpay them for what they do. Not really sure...
