Personally my first time here, not sure if I’d come back. Started off as a great day, maybe a lot of people but that’s understandable given the circumstances..apples were great, a lot of trees to pick from and taste amazing. That’s what deserves the rating really, because the customer service provided by particularly one person is what made the moment a true pain. I believe his name was Kyle, who literally followed us when we were already in line to pay for our apples and some spread that we found. I personally overheard a conversation between him and another lady (that’s how close he was to us) saying how overworked, tired and overwhelmed he was with the amount of people this year. No only, but he also had the courage to basically yell at two kids who appeared to be about 6/7 years old for trying their apples while in line when they didn’t even know they couldn’t. All of this while standing behind us like some kind of police officer, which he was not. Then, when we proceed to pay, he interferes in a private conversation to say with an attitude “yes we take cards”. As a customer service employee I’m complete disappointed in this individual’s attitude towards people. Things can be done and said in such a nicer way.
Response from owner: “Thank you for your review. He was correct in everything he did with the exception how he went about it. You are correct, things can be said in a nicer way. I would appreciate if you not put personal names in a comment as these live on longer than your experience.”
My response: How do you hold people accountable if you don’t have a name to go to? I understand the comment lives on longer, like I said, the place was nice, good quality apples, not so good in customer service. I think it’s a good comment to leave behind due to the fact that it lives on precisely... so if in 5/10 weeks/months/years from now someone looks at reviews of your place they see “wow workers have changed a lot since then” or “wow nothing is different”. Could be used either way but I guess that’s not how it works for...
Read moreIf you’d like to enjoy an afternoon with your family picking, don’t go here.I brought my two daughters here for a lovely afternoon picking apples. We were on line to get our apples weighed, when we heard “Kyle” with the camouflage mask complaining how horrible this year has been with too many people visiting, how rude they are and he’s overworked and tired. He then proceeded to harass us, following us on the line to make sure we paid for all our apples and interject into my private conversations with my children. I don’t know this individual, but he made this so unpleasant that we will never return again.
“Response from the owner Thank you for going out of your way post such a nice review after we went out of ours to help you pay for some of the apples you picked. Also, the employee you are bashing never complained. He only asked you to follow the only rule we post. Pay for what you pic.”
My response - what made you think we didn’t ? Clearly you were not present. No on one helped us pay for our apples. We picked and paid for them ourselves. We heard your employee loud and clear as he made sure everyone in line could hear him. Like I said lesson learned - a simple apology on your behalf would have spoken volumes , but now we can see how you treat the people who come...
Read moreI had no idea this orchard was not 15 minutes away from me! It's a nice scenic drive to Eastmont Orchards, then a windy path to where you pick your own peaches. I went last week with the fam, and despite the hot weather, what a fun experience it was to walk along groves of peaches, and picking peaches to the ripeness of your liking! Late July, they had white and yellow peaches as well as nectarines ready. Looking at the website, more varieties become ripe and ready come August! They section out where you can pick and where the fruit is more ripe should you want day of eating instead of putting it in the fridge.
The price at the time was $2.99 a pound with no admission fees. I just about picked a dozen or so super ripe juicy peaches that you just cannot get at the grocery stores or even farmer's markets because peaches that ripe just do not travel well. I ate about six peaches the second I got home!
They take care and cash, but I believe am addtl charge is added to cards. This is a local farm owned by a local family, so please support local agriculture!
Looking forward to my next trip out...
