Fishtail General Store — Local services in Columbus

Fishtail General Store is a last stop for everything before entering the wilds towards the west (Beartooth). Provides lots of camping comforts, propane, gas, groceries, camp supplies, etc. Attached is Fishtail Grind, an excellent coffee shop. I recommend the cold brew coffee, brewed for over 12 hours via drip. The shop, like many last stops, is a bit pricey. But it comes as the convenience of grabbing something forgotten at home or while on the road. Customer service here is fantastic, friendly, and fast. I love this place. Katie has an amazing amount and variety of stuff packed into this historic old store. It really is like an old-time general store. They bake wonderful "homemade" pies for carryout, have delicious hot breakfast and lunch items, and also make pizza. The beer and ice cream selections are quite good. The little coffee bar is good, but not always open. They sell hunting and fishing licenses, and have a gasoline pump outside. Definitely worth a visit if you are...

Superb Store! As you drive through Fishtail you will notice plenty of people going in and out of this store. It has everything you might need and more! A great coffee shop is located inside so you get your caffeine fix as well. If you are going to recreate in the area at Tippet Rise or the Stillwater then you can pick up sack lunches here as well.
