Many years ago I purchased 2 spaces in the good shepherd section, the first space my Brother N Law was put in one of my spaces As planned, leaving me one space for me above the roll he was put in next to the hedges, the manager at that time said due to my size I would need a larger coffin and could be put partly under the hedges and I agreed with that, then my Sister arrived after my purchasing My two spaces and purchased 6 spaces for herself and children . Now that my Sister passed, all the sudden The current manager denies my purchasing two spaces , this is after I just resent spoke To a former colleague or manager who agreed with me and told me I can relocate my last space next to the hedges to one of their approved locations in Tennessee where I currently live, Now I being told that this person is no longer a employee, and current manager is refusing Me my space and giving me a run around, Very upset about this and based on what the other manager said agreeing I can relocate my space, I spent more money on how I want my body put in my space here in Tennessee That is on hold till these people in Forest lawn Gardens get their stuff together, I don’t know how long they will hold my space, And they want to claim that you’re experience with them is without experience of stress, all I here is they are having trouble finding our contacts, looking like now I got to hire a professional lawyer and sue them for my losses of $ 3500 dollars plus $ 1800 Dollars spent here in Tennessee on handling my body when I pass, now as it’s looking like I won’t have a burial spot I paid for. Here all this time you thought this was taken care of, I am in my 60’s now and I don’t have the resources to repurchase another burial spot ! Thanks a lot for a very stressful experience at a time of need and without a burial...
Read moreWhat a horrible disturbing experience with this place. My mother prepaid for her crematory plot over 20 years ago and was to be placed next to her mother .my mother passed away July 13.2021 in Florida . We called forest lawn to ask what size and of urn to put her in. And they were not sure. And. They couldn't locate her plot. Which is clearly listed on the purchase document and they still claimed they can't find it. Three weeks later. They find the plot and tell us it is an additional 2900.00 dollars to put her in ground and the wooden urn we have her in may not be able to be buried.supposedly they have to dig and see if there is concrete down there or not. If not. We have to pay more money for them to add this and more money to put her in another urn. We have had to postpone her burrial. They don't even care. No one has apologized or showed any compassion at all. But yet. They took all of her insurance money and we can't...
Read moreI have a long history with Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. My brother was buried there in 2001, they did a great job. My mother passed a few weeks ago. She had her plot purchased next to my brother. Fortunately, my mother was long time friends with Mike Seely, who also handled my brother’s committal ceremony. The day that I went in to make arrangements for my mother he was there. He had just spoken with my mother the week before. I was so happy that he would be able to officiate my mother’s ceremony only days before he retired! Mike did such a wonderful job, speaking about my mother, memories and their friendship. The committal ceremony could have not have been more personal and perfect. Thank you so much Forest Lawn...
