Quarry Trails Millikin Falls Area — Local services in Columbus

This is a really cool park right in the city. There is a bike route that has a cool obstacle course. There is a really big hill that we got to walk up and down. There's a nice view of the rocks and water. The kids enjoying throwing rocks in. There are lots of trails to walk along. We were confused about where to find the waterfall that is advertised in the pictures. It turns out that there are multiple entrances to the park and there is a specific entrance to get you directly next to that waterfall. It is easy to see. The upper view would be accommodating towards any person, including people who can't walk very well. Then you can go down lower to where the river is and see it there as well (not for those with difficulty walking). You are allowed to wade and step in the water knee deep, but they say no swimming. 2021.12.26. There are several entrances to the park. Millikin falls is not easily accessible, you'll need to go to the other entrances for strollers/avoiding steps. Something unique is that this will eventually be an open 24 hours a day park, because of both the residences and the retail that will be open. Dog walking at all hours! This park will be for the foreseeable future 100% without shade, so make sure to bring sunscreen. If you heard how difficult it was to open this park even partially, you won't be surprised when I say that I heard it will take 4 more years to open completely with a connector to Duranceau park. They need more time to overcome really difficult obstacles (risking your life/fall to your death ones), but I'm grateful to be in such a unique space. Quarry Trails Metro is a nice little park, with a mile loop, large ponds/small lakes, and a very nice waterfall (for Columbus). They are still developing it, so only part of the park is open for visitors. Pros: Nice park in the middle of the city, over 1 mile walking paths, playground, plenty of nature. Cons: massive apartments and condos being built, so the city is RIGHT THERE. No real restrooms (yet), only portable toilets, playground is lacking (no swings, only a rope jungle gym and two zip lines), and if you have a stroller, this place isn't meant for you.
