An awesome Christ-centered place for a church retreat like ours, or for summer camps. We were well fed, the college students were all very welcoming, lots of facilities and trails to make use of.
We stayed in "The Ark", what we would have called barracks in Army, a building with multiple rooms of bunk beds. Sucks there was no A/C, but I get the extra costs that come with that, and I appreciate them keeping the costs down for churches like ours.
I think the plan is to have future retreats here as well, and I 100% agree with that.
As a cyclist and mountain biker, the only thing I would suggest as an affordable improvement on the property is to develop some more trails in the land downhill from the main building (between the the facilities on the hill and the river, that is). As a parent, you worry about your child being away, but the photos posted & the stories told put your worries to ease.
