The Home Depot — Local services in Commerce

I frequent many HD's in my travels. This looks like the Commerce location... & it's at The Bottom of my list. Storefront isn't nearly as nice as the pik due to a permanent (overpriced lunch truck) taking up the best parking. This place has The Worst parking layout forcing full size trucks to park 60-80 yrds away. 20 or so dayworkers constantly loitering, looking in vehicles, & standing in drive ways. Always have to empty my bed of all valuables making this location a real pain to shop. Kicker is, it's only going to get Worse. COMMERCE LOCATION MANAGEMENT -get rid of the roach coach & build a nice hot dog shack against your front wall (like Buena Park/Stanton) & if you're not gonna shoo away the dayworkers, build them a shack to congregate at the far end of the lot before I end up running over somebody's Feet!!! Fix it. Well, here we are 7 months later... And it's only gotten WORSE! Now this place's parking lot is starting to look like a regular outdoor Swap Meet! Their already inadequate up-close parking is being taken up by people literally setting up shop with large displays of produce, leather goods, and God knows what else. Let's put it this way... Places like Mcmaster-Carr are getting much of your potential business with their infinitely better selection, competitive pricing, and Speedy delivery. "Pro-Tip" for those looking for stainless steel fasteners... Mcmaster's pricing on these is a Fraction of what Home Depot is trying to sell theirs for. And their selection is in a word, pathetic. If I didn't know any better, I would swear that Commerce location is intentionally trying to drive away their once...

I’m giving this Home Depot a three-star rating mainly due to the heavy security presence, most of the store being locked up, and the lack of timely customer service. These issues made what should’ve been a quick trip far more frustrating than it needed to be. Had these things been handled better, this easily could have been a five-star experience.

That said, the store itself is very clean and well-maintained, with clear signage that makes navigating the aisles simple. But unfortunately, almost everything is locked behind cases, which meant I had to wait around 10 minutes just to get a single drill bit. There were barely any employees on the floor, and when I asked for a manager, no one could be found.

The armed security guard stationed at the entrance also gives off an intimidating vibe. I understand safety is important, but it makes the shopping experience feel less welcoming. On a positive note, the cashiers are extremely friendly—especially Josh, who was very helpful and polite.

If you're just grabbing a few basic items and don't need assistance, this location will do. But be ready to wait if you need help getting...

We order the floor vinyl online since it is not available to ship to store nor purchase in store. First they said we cannot schedule that we want so we have to schedule 1 employee wait at the warehouse from 7AM to 8:30PM for the delivery. We paid $75 more for delivery and request signature up-on delivery, but the delivery guy never call or knock on the door even contact number was provided. On Sunday it was marked delivered on home depot app. I call home depot and they said I have to wait for Monday. I call back on Monday and they told me they will call me back..., I call back on Tuesday and the girl who help me keep talking over me and keep said "it is delivered and our job is done." I ask her my employee never got call nor knock on the door and they was inside waiting the whole time, and then she said they are not calling and knock, they just delivery. I asked "can you show me the proof" and she said "I can't provide you the proof of the signature. We don't share those document" and keep lie about our employee sign for it. I have proof that they never call on the phone call history log. I'm waiting for call back from...
