I took my goddaughter here because she wanted to get a mani pedi with me. She loved hers, and was super happy with everything. I did not have that same experience, but that is okay because the outing was about her. I don't remember the name of the man who did my nails, but I confirmed with him before I ever sat down that I cannot have anything with lavender in it because I am allergic to lavender. He agreed and said that that was fine. We were less than 5 minutes into my service before he slathered my legs in a lavender sugar scrub that burned like hell. It was only on my skin for a maximum of 45 seconds, but allergies kind of suck like that, and it was not a great time. I tried to tell him never mind on the deluxe anything just paint my toenails and I'm going to grit my teeth and bear this because my goddaughter is enjoying herself, but he insisted on trying to find an alternative. I asked him to lower me down to the basic mani-pedi instead of the deluxe which is what I had asked for, and apparently there was a miscommunication somewhere along the way and he offered me some keratin gloves for my hands as a replacement for the lotion because all of their lotion is lavender, and I was under the impression that I was receiving a basic manicure until I got to the checkout where I was charged for the deluxe for both despite being unable to enjoy any of the services rendered. And I almost would have turned to blind eye to that if the nail polish had not begun to ship less than 3 hours after leaving the salon. But it did. So there's that.
My goddaughter, on the other hand... She was thrilled with her services, absolutely enjoyed all of it and her manicure and pedicure are both still immaculate. It's been a week.
Throw out everything everyone was very friendly, despite it all. If I wasn't allergic to lavender, I'm sure the experience would have been lovely. That's not sarcasm, I'm being genuine. Lavender is a weird allergy and people make mistakes and that's okay. I still tipped everybody who did mine and my...
Read moreI’ve been a customer at this nail spa for 5 years, but the quality of service has significantly declined over the past 2 years. I kept returning, hoping things would improve, but my last several visits have been very disappointing.
Most recently, I had a fill-in done a little over a week ago, and my nails are already popping off. When I went to other salons for a full set and fill-in, the work easily lasted 3 weeks. This time, the service felt rushed, just as it had been during my previous visits. The first couple of times Kim did my nails, she did great work, but lately the effort and quality have been inconsistent.
Before that, I came in for an eyebrow wax (I usually see Mackenzie). A different technician did them instead, and they ended up uneven. When I asked for them to be fixed, she became visibly upset—even after another staff member agreed they were uneven and fixed them for me.
On another visit, the receptionist and technician also tried to overcharge me until I asked to see the price list, at which point they corrected the error.
I used to see Mackenzie for nails as well, but I stopped because she was often distracted by phone calls during appointments. She was ALWAYS on the phone fussing with her boyfriend. The last two times she did my nails, I had to soak them off because of green discoloration underneath—something I’ve never experienced in my 20 years of getting acrylics.
I’ve given this salon multiple chances because it’s close and convenient, but enough is enough. I won’t be returning and will gladly drive farther for better service and nail health. I also tried to reach out to Annie, the owner, as I have her personal number from a previous issue where my husband purchased a gift card for me and the receptions, at the time, took the cash and didn’t activate the card.
If you decide to go here, I recommend Tiffany. She takes her time and does great work, though she only works part-time now.
Also keep in mind, this nail spa is also owned by the same person who owns Valentino in University &...
Read moreVERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! VERY VERY DISSATISFIED! Let me start by saying, My Husband works very hard not to mention long Hours for us, and for me to be able to treat myself to having my nails done. I have been coming to this Salon for sometime now & this last Full Set and $ 60.00 + a tip was a complete Waste!! The Gel has peeled off 4 of my nails within the week of getting them done with another starting. ( I called before going as I wanted to give the person that did my set the opportunity to correct the issue and was told I could see that person at 10:00 only to find out when I got there that said person would not be in until later..... ) so as I returned to have the 2 at the time fixed with feeling like a total bother.... ( Actually brought in the full gel pieces that peeled off as that was just looked at and tossed onto the counter ).... at which time a completely different color was put on those 2 nails.... Quite Obvious, however, I felt like that they felt that that should be acceptable in which it wasn't. The color was changed to match the rest of my nails and toes.... Now, Besides that my nails are lifting, they are chipping where they were not filed correctly. No apology, No Thank You for coming back in. Nadda and this was all within a week of having this set put on!!! Finished, not saying a word, got up and went on to the next customer.... I have been enjoying having my nails done for many years, Used the same tech before moving for 7 yrs and have found it hard to find a decent Nail Salon in this area.... and this has got to be the worst set EVER put on with Poor Results, Poor Quality Workmanship, Poor Attitude and I'm quite sure a toddler or stick on nails would have been better then what I have right now. NOW, I will be again, having to find a Quality Nail Salon.... Your Salon is Pretty, But that is all I can give you credit for! I...
