This place was amazing. FYI ah-Nee-Ta’s closing weekend was brimming with guests — and memories. The tribally-owned resort and spring-fed pool was beloved for generations as a gateway between the Warm Springs reservation and the rest of the world. Jerry and Brian Gorman thought about how their granddaughter took her first steps here. Erik Firkus remembered himself at 8, “running around, being free.” He was with his 7-year-old son this weekend. They were among thousands who came to say goodbye to the spring-fed swimming pool, the campground, the teepees, the horses, the hotel surrounded by high desert trails. And … “The People. The People of the Tribe are always such generous people,” Jerry Gorman said. One well-known ambassador for the people at Kah-Nee-Ta is Delson Suppah Sr. He’s an elder in the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and, until this week, he spent most Saturday nights telling legends to tourists. By day, he often sat in the shade of a juniper tree by the swimming pool, just chatting with guests. Suppah remembered getting his first job at the resort at 17, back when that meant wearing moccasins and ribbon shirts to work. “We need to get back there because that’s what the tourists want,” he said. “They want to see Indians and they want to learn about Indians.” Suppah said tribal leadership failed to preserve that original identity, or act on a variety of plans to keep the resort open through outside investment.

Went here in the month of May and it was amazing! The weather was hot but not scorching. If you have fair skin load up on the sunblock! The main food you buy here is average price for a restaurant and portions are large, food was delicious! I recommend the fry bread with Huckleberry jam! The hot springs were amazing and definitely helped ease being tense in your body. They have a kiddie pool area, lazy river (fun but packed during day) a hotspring around 90 degrees and then 2 smaller ones that are 104 and then 113. My family stayed in the teepees. It was worth it if you bring a air mattress, cot, etc. If not it's solid concrete or the white chairs which lay down but aren't very comfortable. At kahneeta they have a traditional dances from the natives that live local and they were amazing and very friendly. Also during summer there is tube floats down the river, mini golf, basketball, tennis, a gaming area, corn hole, trails with exceptional views, bingo and a teepee they keep a small fire put in for story time. Had a great family trip would definitely return!

Drove past here this past Winter and was sad to learn it closed..., apparently the victim of the tribe's losing money and having moved the casino closer to large roads, easy transportation etc. I never visited while it was open but it is set amid God's County and would be a spectacular again. I don't like casinos but understand they're a huge draw, and if that is what it takes then simply open another casino here. I've heard the place was fantastic and drive here even though I knew it would be closed. The setting is unbeatable. Visitors will come!! Update Sept 2021 I drove past and sadly show you the current photographs of what could have remained a great resort, and with a little ingenuity become a great center for sharing Native American culture.

The wait is finally over and this nostalgic place has finally re-opened. It’s hard to not give it a 5 stars because of the decades of memories I had here, a childhood favorite. Unfortunately the hype for reopen was quickly diminished by all the things that were done and not done. I’m not one to write bad reviews and try to give each business an opportunity, but this was hard. First upon arriving the excitement of finally seeing the open sign was a bonus, but quickly things went south. Check in was quick and easy we are forever members so I’m not sure if that helped make this easier but staff was not familiar with what was happening and did not do a good job helping their forever members understand what that membership entailed as well as make them Feel a little more special. Walking into the ladies locker room/restroom was a blast from the past, if you expected to be impressed than your in for quite the treat, then have not changed! The same mosaic poopy brown tile and mustard yellow sinks are still there. Toilets were dirty and rusty… first impression before going into the pool are was a bust. I gave it 3 stars because the pool are was clean and beautiful…. But I’m a bit confused, no floats are allowed, the pools have been divided into 6 small sections and the lifeguards take their jobs extremely serious (sorry but sitting on the edge should not get whistles blowing and yelling to get off) chairs are new (at least they look new) they do have different sections now for seating so it’s quite obvious that it’s not about getting there early to get the best seat but now you have to pay top dollar to get a seat with an umbrella or cabana …. When i say top dollar, keep in mind your paying 40$ for a person to get in + 75-300$ extra for these special seating options. My review was more based on cost, renovations and all around experience. I’m not sure if this is a place i want to come back to regularly like I did in the past of if it’s a one and done deal. I hope that with time they will make some changes as I would love to come back so my kids can have memories like I did. Where is the slide? How did removing a slide become a good idea? Is it just me or are the...

Went there on the 4th of July and the place was full. I'm sure other times outside of Holidays it's not as full. I thought it was pricey but hey, it's not like there's another Hot Springs around the corner so $36 per person? It is what it is. I'll be going back. I've seen some negative reviews about customer service. Not my experience. The staff was courteous helpful and answered my question. They were not excited to see a customer, smiling from ear to ear like a high school cheerleading squad, they were present and doing there job. No outside food or drink allowed but they were ok with me bringing in my bottled water. Separate changing areas men and women in the gift shop entrance. There were lockers with credit card readers to lock your valuables and showers. In the pool area not a lot of shade there unless you pay $49 for a cushioned two seat cabana. The Cabana will shade you from the morning and noon sun but after that you will be working on your tan. I recommend wearing a hat if you don't want to much sun in your face especially when your in the pool. Shallow pool area for the kids to play and deeper hot pools for adults. I love mineral hot springs and the water here is therapeutic. A good soak and my muscles were feeling relaxed and I slept like a baby that night. I definitely recommend this place for a good soak. Afterward you might find something you may have...
