Dragway 42 — Local services in Congress Township

Rock n roll race. Beautiful track and nicely kept up!!!! Many people we're upset Saturday about the hour to two hour wait in the staging Lanes. All those people with racing suits standing around or strapped in their cars waiting, hot and uncomfortable. And everyone waiting was stuck there because they didn't know when their Lane would be called, they could not watch the racing, eat, or socialize with their friends. The written schedule did not seem to have been followed and it was a free-for-all with everyone and all types of classes in staging. Each lane had a variety of classes in it. All people far away could not hear their classes being called all weekend. Some people missed their class, while others just went up and sat so they don't miss it. However I was told on normal Dragway 42 run races they do have an App that you can follow to see what is going on and a line organizer. I can my girlfriend wife now loved spending are weekends there back in the mid 70s till they close it to rebuild it and I'm so glad it's finally done and it's a IHIRA track my opinion since Norwalk now Summit switched to NHRA WE went the 1rst year in a half and the prices kept going up n up n up don't get me wrong got to meet the Bader s and they are wonderful people but wwe're taking are love of Racing Talents back to the New and Beautiful reborn Drag way 42 can't wait if I can get a new schedule mailed to me it would be as me and I'm a frame it and give it to my 7 year old grand son congratulations to a great and Beautiful state of the art Raceway time to act like a kid again I'm now 61 years old but you no what some kids never grow up I'm so glad that we have a great racetrack to go and have a great time at I still remember the live bands they used to have every weekend great memories I am amazed that it's...

Track is nice and most of the staff are friendly, but there still are a few disrespectful and impatient employees that work for them. Especially the people you pay when you initially arrive to the “park.” I was somewhat difficult and pulled some strings to get a race in considering I was late and missed the tech before they left for the day, but the girl I paid was very rude even though I was extremely polite to her. Even other people I spoke with were talking about how rude the employees can be. With that being said, if you don’t enjoy your job, there are plenty of other opportunities out there. Respect is a necessity for any business, especially when the customer (myself) is a repeat customer and comes to the track occasionally. This review is not to spread hate, it’s constructive criticism and im not the first to say this about the staff. I will continue to visit the dragway in hope the staff...
