Updates Review 6/22/2023: We returned a little over a month after being contacted by Flame, the Spa Operations Director. Truly, Flame needs an enormous raise! She personally apologized and wanted to do everything in her power to make our visit better.
Our pedicures (Yolanda and Ashley are true perfection) were the best any of the 3 of us had ever had. Our massages and facial was spectacular! And the food was better. We went on a Thursday which was still busy but not nearly as busy as the Saturday when we first visited. We still wish there was a cap on the number of people allowed to book in one day. But this was a much better experience. The staff are truly what makes the difference here and I hope they know how much theyâre appreciated. Based on this latest visit, Iâm planning to return with my husband. While he plays golf I can enjoy some relaxation time!
Original review: This place has sooooo much potential and I was hoping for a lot more. Me, my sister, and a friend went on a Saturday. We all booked the âQueen for the Dayâ package and had high expectations. We were all very disappointed and did not feel like queens at all. Mainly because the spa was way overbooked with several large groups.
First, It was difficult to find a space the 3 of us could sit together because of the number of people there. And the noise level from the crowd was the exact opposite of relaxing. I suppose we were assigned to a spa attendant but we only saw her once so we could not depend on anyone to answer questions or help us when we needed it. The attendant didnât have lockers assigned for us and had to scramble to find empty ones for us to put our things. Because it took her a while, we were about 7 minutes late for our massage appointments. Even though the timing was not our fault, our time was not compensated for - giving us a few extra minutes for our massage would have been an easy option. My massage was just ok, the therapist was very personable but could use some training on better technique.
We didnât get full use of the hydro circuit because there were people everywhere with no tables or chairs indoors. The floors were so slippery because of the sheer number of people tracking water. We were able to sit together at the outdoor hot tub where we ordered drinks and food. Drink service was slow but good. Food service was unbearable slow! It took us more than 2 hours to get simple sandwiches with pasta salad and green salads as a side. Staff seemed nice but SEVERELY overwhelmed. You could tell by their body language that they were not happy with their jobs.
Rock Barn, if youâre reading this, please stagger entry and never allow this many people in at one time. We each paid for a premium service but left receiving subpar treatment. Thereâs so much potential here but you really missed the...
Read moreI visited The Spa on April 14, 2021, with a friend girl. It was our first time visiting, and we were celebrating our Birthday. We had planned for months, and couldnât sleep the night before because we were so ready to experience the âQueen for a Dayâ package. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was friendly and made sure we were comfortable as we changed to receive our massages. The massage was great. After driving an hour to the resort and finishing up from the massage we were starving, and ready to order our food. We sit in the pool area for at least an hour or so, as we watched multiple waitresses pass us several times without looking our direction, and asking if we needed help. We then had to walk around trying to chase down a waitress to place an order. May I add on this specific day the spa was not overly crowded. I felt like I was been ignored and didnât feel like a Queen at all. We ended up going to the bar to place our orders. After I finished my food I was ready for my chocolate-covered strawberries and another drink. Again I set there for another hour after I watched multiple waitresses walk pass, and serve other guests while ignoring me. I then waved a waitress down, and she walked over with an attitude may I add. I couldnât believe that I was being treated this way being that I was a paying guest that was supposed to be relaxing and not stressing about trying to get attention from the staff just to place an order. I then placed my order do you know that my order never came. Another hour went by and no strawberries and no drink. I never seen the waitress again. I had to stop a different waitress and place another order and explain to her what was going on. I then waited for another hour and finally, the first waitress that had gone missing came with my order and blamed it on the bar saying it wasnât her fault, and at this point, I didnât even want the order but I paid for it anyway. With me being an Esthetician, and a Spa Owner I couldnât believe how I was being treated and how bad the customer service was. Several of my friends inquired about the location and sadly I couldnât give a good review or recommend the spa because of my horrible experience. The atmosphere was beautiful but the staff needs to be better trained on customer service. I will not...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING! I was fortunate enough to get to accompany my friend to this spa to celebrate her birthday. We purchased the "Queen for a Day" package, and we loved it. The package includes an 80-minute sweedish massage, one meal, 2 complimentary drinks (alcoholic or non), and chocolate covered strawberry. Our massages were booked for early in the morning, so we arrived at 830am. and got settled in. They take you to the women's lockers and assign you your own private lockets with a robe and a few goodies for you to have. Once you're fully ready, you can go out to the pool relaxation room. There are 2 waterfall pools, 2 Jacuzzis and one pool in the middle. All of the pools are heated, so you never have to worry about being cold and not being able to stay in the pool. They have plenty of lounge seating as well as tables to sit at for when you decide to have lunch. I was a tad bit worried that with it being a Saturday that it might be too crowded, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. We never ran into an issue of where we had to wait for people to get out of the pool or Jacuzzis just so we could go enjoy it. There were never more than four people in the jacuzzi still with enough privacy to chit chat. It was busy but not crowded. The staff were all amazing and always around yo help out. They come out every once in a while to offer free samples of smoothies, ice creams, trail mixes, and plenty more. There was an incident where they took about 30min to bring back outer drinks (which I honestly think they forgot about), but when we inquired about it, they apologized immediately and rectified it. It's such an amazing time of pure relaxation, and I DEFINETLY recommend this day spa and highly encourage you to enjoy this once in your life. They have full service showers with everything you may need, blow dryers, straightners, shave cream, tampons, q-tips, etc. You definitely get what you pay for. As for the massage, it was AMAZING! I came out feeling rejuvenated and glowing. My skin was so moisturized, and it definitely helped me relax for the rest of the day. This was my first time ever getting such a great massage, which included full body and hot stone. Definitely recommend it. Overall, I had an AWESOME experience and will...
