It was such a pleasure working with the DRH team. I truly am grateful to Dustin. He's amazing. He was very accommodating, professional, friendly, just everything we needed in a sales manager. He understood our needs and concerns and showed properties that aligned…He educated us on the community and set our expectations. He was super patient and didn’t try to rush us into a decision. He explained how simple the mortgage process would be and basically squashed all of our worries before we even started the mortgage process. Our conversation with him was really the deciding factor between this and another house that we really loved in a different community. Because Dustin put us at ease in the very beginning of this, moving to another state can be very hectic, but we felt fully supported through this process. He typically answered questions Same day or within 24 hours. We did hire a real estate agent and our own inspectors and the DRH team had no issues with that.

There is so much new construction and so much glitz and glamor in all of the new communities in the area that it can be confusing trying to prioritize what is a good fit. Is it the amenities, is it the dynamics of the community, is it the house all by itself, is it the HOA, is it the proximity to other stuff.. My husband and I were both on the fence about even starting this process because we know it can be a lot, but everything Dustin said has shown through and he truly set the tone for us to feel safe and comfortable in our decisions. We experienced excellent service the entire way through working with all of you. The 30 day closing timeframe went great! We got an amazing interest rate, unheard of in 2024. The process was so easy.

The community itself is great. It’s super quiet. Many veterans in the community. It’s diverse with a range of young families to retired couples. A lot of people walk jog or run in the mornings. We have kayaks so the lake in the community is definitely a plus plus. We didn’t choose a spot with a lot of amenities. I mean there are sidewalks play area for kids a pool and the catch and release lake…but we chose for the house and the location. We are nearby everything. Right down the street from lake Conroe. Any place you need for everyday living is maybe 5-8 minutes away. The woodlands is about 15-20 minutes away. There is a very active neighborhood group with events and gatherings.

The inside of the house is aesthetically what we wanted. I’ve seen a lot of bad press about this builder but we’ve had very minor concerns that were addressed quickly. We are really enjoying our home and want to thank DRH and Dustin in helping us realize our goal of moving to Texas.

This is the second DR Horton home we have owned. Dustin Dye was our salesperson for both houses. We were so excited when we realized that we would be working with him again. You could not ask for a better salesperson. He was so attentive during the process. He answered all of our questions and helped us get a great deal on the house. Cody Copeland was our construction manager, and he was so helpful before and after we closed. There were a couple of minor things that we needed help with, and Cody came immediately to help us. After we closed, Eric Harfst became our warranty representative. Eric has been amazing. Anytime we have a question or issue, he immediately texts us back. He has even come to the house on his day off. We really appreciate him. When we closed, we knew there was an issue with the driveway and the drainage in the yard. Eric guided us through the warranty process, and our issues were taken care of immediately. Each time we have reported something to the warranty department, they have responded very quickly. Hills of Westlake is a wonderful neighborhood that DR Horton has developed. They have some great upgraded lots that are available with lake and wooded views that have no back neighbors.
