This isn't the first time I've been disrespected at your location either as I'm a regular customer of yours I'm sure not that anyone cares either!!!! I Shop usually every Sunday at your location for My Family and My Weekly Food Shopping..... If memory serves me correctly the same lady that was behind customer service counter last night that gave me a negative attitude if I'm not mistaken once before gave me a negative attitude as well and all it was was over a pack of paper towels too like how trivial do we have to be I get it we're going thru challenging and trying times here now in 2025, but this how you treat customers especially your regular customers w such Disrespect!!!!???? I bought a pack of paper towels or might of been napkins think it was napkins bought a pack of 500 that I thought was $2.49 cause the pack so happened to be by the barcode marked at $2.49 so come to find out some other customer must of moved it to the wrong spot and turns out the pack of 500 napkins rang up at $4.19 think it was or $4.29??? I saw the price and kindly asked the lady that was working the front end at self-checkout if she could take the napkins off as I didn't want to pay the extra money for some napkins, and she demonstrated to me a negative attitude like I bothered her so much it's her job then to serve customers!!!! If you don't want to do that,??? Then quit your job then!!!! Go do a job that you feel more comfortable then doing I don't know what else to say!!!??? We all get frustrated at times and hate our jobs, but if it supports ya and puts a roof over yours and your family's head, then be grateful!!!! But if you don't want to deal w customers,??? Then dont!!!! Nobody is forcing ya to!!!! You sometimes control your destiny so to speak!!!! But especially at self-checkout as ya all know, I can click the item I don't want and then click remove on the screen then confirm the remove but someone working up at the front end @ self-checkout or maybe an available cashier has to override and has to type in their code to confirm the removal of the item or items plural that's not wanted.... I tell ya what since I'm a regular customer shop at your location usually every Sunday, how bout giving me a code so I can confirm the removal of an item or items no longer wanted or if there's an issue, I have the clearance to correct the issue if that's a possibility!!!!??? That way I don't have to be a burden on your employees there working up at self-checkout up at the front end!!!!??? That way I'm not such a burden to ya all!!!!??? You think I like having to leave my home every Sunday come to the grocery store and do the same monotonous thing I do week in n out plus every other week, have to leave my home and visit the laundromat to clean My Family's N My Laundry so Our Son has clean clothes for school and I have clean clothes for work!!!! We don't have a laundry facility at my apartment complex not that ya all care or that it matters either!!!!??? But the point is we do what we have to do whether we like...
Read moreHere's what you can expect at this location... ONLY ONE FULL SERVICE REGISTER OPEN at almost all times, LONG WAIT TIMES, and a SELF CHECKOUT LINE SO LONG THAT IT RUNS HALFWAY DOWN THE LENGTH OF THE FOOD AISLE. This store needs to open more registers during a rush, instead of just leaving it up to customers to check themselves out.
I worked at a grocery store in high school and college, as both a cashier and customer service. It is customary that when it is busy and there are long lines that the store opens up more registers to reduce the lines and get the customers out during a rush. This is the closest grocery store to my house, so it is my regular store and I have been here multiple times. I think it is terrible that during the weekend at some of the busiest times, such as Sunday after church they have no more than 2 registers open. Usually the one full service register has literally a line so long it goes halfway down the shopping isle, and then the line for self check out is just as long, if not longer.
I believe this is terrible customer service and terrible management, especially when there are associates walking around, associates stocking shelves, etc. Point being is that there are NOT registers closed due to lack of associates. Not only are they are not opening registers, but instead they are not even bothering to call associates up front to open registers and reduce the lines. They are simply leaving it up to customers and expecting them to do it themselves. This forces customers with towering carts to check out at self-checkout, making the self checkout line that much longer...
It is almost impossible to get in and out of this store quickly even when you have only one or two items to purchase. It is terrible that it is literally impossible to get out of this food lion in less than 10 minutes even with just one item being purchased.
They need better management to enforce policies to reduce traffic and congestion that could easily be helped by making a few improvements, if not prevented completely by...
Read moreShopping at the 4th street food lion can be hit or miss. There have been plenty of times they have let me down; not having the product I need, not communicating substitutions or refunds for pickup orders, and issues with the app. Once every few months is seems someone will mess up and not label my order properly and it doesn't make it to my car and I don't notice till I get home and have to call and go back out to get it; which is annoying and inconvenient. However I wanted to take a minute to say that the current customer service manager Kevin is and has been doing a wonderful job. The last 2 times my order has been missing she has taken it upon herself to personally make sure it gets corrected to my satisfaction and completely acknowledge my frustration with the situation. Even going as far as telling me item by item what is being put into my car so I can crosscheck it without a single vibe of annoyance or complaint on her part. So I came here to publicly say thank you for doing such a great job and making your customers...
