I would give it 0 stars if I could. On March 29, 2019, at 7:05 pm, I responded to the Save A Lot at the above location in order to purchase some groceries. My purchase consisted of (2) roll of 80/20 ground beef, (1) pack of pork chops, (20 packs of chicken wings, (1) green pepper and a bag I got home and started preparing the groceries in order to cook. As I opened the first roll of ground beef I noticed it to be brownish in color and it had stench of spoiled/ rotten meat. I then opened the second rolled and it was in the same condition. I checked the expiration date and it showed the meat was expiring on April 1, 2019. I placed the hamburger and the wrapper in a Ziploc bag and sealed it. I responded back to the store at which time I spoke to the cashier that checked me out and explained to him that the product was bad. A female manager came from the office and asked what the problem was. I told her the situation and she took possession of the bag. She started to unseal the Ziploc bag and asked how the meat smelled. I informed her that the meat smelled really bad, to which she stated she was not even going to attempt to unseal the Ziploc and smell it contents. She went on and asked me what I wanted to do. I asked to be reimbursed. The manager had a worker go to the meat section and retrieve a roll of the spoiled meat so she could scan it to get the pricing. As she handed me my money back, I made a comment to her that maybe she should pull the meat so no one else could buy it, possibly eat it and get sick. I told her that the store could be held liable for selling the bad meat. She went on to state that the meats came from the warehouse like that and it wonāt be on the store. I said you still should pull the meat and let the owner know. She stated she couldnāt and that it was not her decision. I am so disappointed for the lack of concern that someone may get really ill or worse from eating this meat. I donāt shop here often because of the unfriendliness of the workers/ management; but I definitely would not shop here again. This is unacceptable. This place do not care about its customers. I continued to shop and could not find the Jumex Mango Juice that has been carried in the store in the past. I went up and down four aisles. I then rushed through more shopping as there is an announcement that the last register will be closed in four minutes. I get to the checkout counter prior to closing time and ask the young man if they have moved the Jumex Mango Juice and he has no idea what I am talking about. He then asks a guy that turns out to be the manager and he says he doesn't know. While I am packing my groceries the manager walks by and I again ask if they are no longer carrying this product and he keeps walking and mumbles something about "the office" and I can hear nothing more. Apparently closing at 9:00 sharp is WAY more important than customer service. Due to his uncaring attitude I will be shopping elsewhere. Save-A-Lot is not the only...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI guess this store had a bad experience with black people stealing because we where followed around the entire time the dark skinned lady with dread was at the end of every aisle pretending to stock I asked the bald head man for help and she immediately intervene when he had already answered my question to where an item was located her behavior was very inappropriate asking him what did I just asked him yes I will never shop here again It was a very uncomfortable feeling after check out me and my daughter was followed out by another worker who acted like she was getting a drink from the car it was so noticeable please do better your located in a black community you will recieve a lot of black customers I hope you donāt treat them...
