This was absolutely the most disappointing shopping experience I've ever had. The lead up to the sale was great...wonderful sales staff but it was all a fast downhill from there. Promises after promises on deliveries that never happened. Lost time at work and lost Saturdays waiting for deliveries that never came. The store manager never apologized for any of this mess...called the main customer service line they were going to have the owner call me which also didn't happen. Ordered furniture April 30 and it's August 19 and I just canceled the order today because I still don't have the furniture with an original delivery date in June. Buyers beware if you are going to shop here. Like I said, sales staff was outstanding but once it's out of their hands, it spirals out of control quickly. Oh.....to add to this, the refund process took weeks and many phone calls and even walking in to the store. If you need to return something here and paid for delivery....WATCH YOUR REFUNDS....they didn't refund the delivery fees until we threw a fit and they attempted to argue about it and tried to play it off that we were wrong but it's simple math. Again, this comes down to the manager as she was in charge of processing the refunds which, like I said, took weeks, many phone calls and in person visits. Don't bother complaining to corporate because they don't care either. It's independently owned so corporate doesn't care that the Slumberland name is being ruined by places they don't monitor. What chain that has independent owners doesn't have any say? I've never heard of such things....usually there are rules the owners must follow. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a salesperson named Josh. I made it clear from the outset that I preferred to browse independently and would reach out if I had any questions or needed assistance. Unfortunately, this request was not honored.
As I attempted to methodically explore the showroom, starting from one side and making my way through, Josh persistently directed me to different areas, disrupting my flow and making it difficult for me to fully consider my options. Despite my efforts to communicate my desire for a more relaxed browsing experience, the high-pressure tactics continued, leaving me with no choice but to leave the store prematurely, without having seen all that I intended.
I understand the importance of sales assistance, but I believe in the value of giving customers space to make informed decisions at their own pace. This experience was a stark reminder of how crucial a balance between helpfulness and space is for customer satisfaction.

Read moreI had a great experience shopping there today. The sales rep was knowledgeable and incredibly patient as I tried umpteen beds multiple times in my indecisiveness. I can only speak to their beds, but the inventory was wide ranging with high quality beds superior to any I had previously slept on. They also have a deal where if you buy a mattress pad you get a 120 day exchange option, which sounds amazing. However, it does not apply to any clearance beds. I see no reason for this as both normal and clearance beds are sellable, and obviously a clearance bed would have a low credit value, forcing one looking to exchange to pay more for virtually any other option. That said, while I disagree with the policy, they were upfront about it, so I do not believe it warrants the removal of a star. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a quality bed, but those looking for cheaper and therefore lower quality beds should look elsewhere.
