Since rugs are apparently delivered on Tuesdays or Thursdays, I wanted them delivered Tuesday because my furniture was arriving Wednesday. I didn't want to have to lift heavy furniture and place rugs underneath them. The people who delivered the rugs seemed to be a bit rude, as if they had an attitude for being forced to deliver the rugs. It's a new house and no one has knocked on the door as loud as they have, so I know they were pounding it. They barely mumbled something about rugs. They brought the rugs in and hit the brand new, freshly painted walls with the rugs. I found several dirt smudges and I don't know if I found everything or not because I have it painted a dark color. Absolutely nobody from Bel acted like my house was their own house. My house is apparently a workplace warehouse to them.
The furniture delivery men did not speak English. One was barely able to communicate with me but could not understand a lot of basic English. I do not comprehend how this is acceptable. The "English speaker" indicated that he had never assembled my three-piece, L-shaped desk before. It was not assembled correctly and I don't know if it was his fault or not. He seemed more worried and stressed than I was. He indicated that the drawers do not fit and I agree. I speculate that the bottom drawer attached to the desk is supposed to be larger than the top drawer, and it appears as though he was given two bottom drawers to assemble the desk. The triangular wedge affixed between the two main components of the desk arrived chipped, and it was not installed properly. There is a massive gap, it is uneven, and it looks horrifically ugly. I don't know if it was also faulty or if he assembled it wrong. Where the two rectangular components of the L-desk meet is not flush, and that might be contributing to the issue. I do think he was trying his hardest, but I do not appreciate that he kept his shoes on for over an hour to install the desk. If he's not going in and out of the house but rather staying in one spot, it is common courtesy to remove shoes. My brand new rug has had shoe dirt grinded into it for absolutely no reason whatsoever. He can't take five seconds to prevent an hour of dirt.
Additionally, the arm chair belonging to my four-piece couch set was apparently broken in the delivery truck and they did not bring it into the house. He said he would inform his manager in Houston, but when I called the local branch today they were not aware of the situation and at this point I feel I am being defrauded. I have not been given what I paid for. You can't just take my money and give me my goods in 100 years. The due date came and went, and my only "compensation" was an apology, which wasn't even given until I expressed dissatisfaction. That apology and $20 in my hand is worth $20. The minimum expectations are not being met. Bel has not given me what I paid for. I paid over $4000 to have my furniture delivered yesterday. At this point I have to continue to fight and argue just to get what I paid for, but at a later date. I've moved from out of state so I have no furniture. I'm not buying furniture to replace worn out stuff. I have nothing in the house and I need what I paid for, and I need it yesterday. I have no idea if both replacement items will arrive, arrive intact, or be assembled correctly. What I do know is that Bel will do absolutely nothing to make me happy. Mistakes happen, but it's not a mistake to have workers who don't speak English. It's not a mistake to offer zero compensation for mess ups. That's on purpose. I know what exceptional service looks like from my business with an appliance store, and Bel did not even remotely compare. This ongoing, unresolved experience has soured my mood, ruined my whole day, and now every time I look at my furniture I will have sour memories. I regret having done...
Read moreI once ventured into a Bel Furniture knowing not what to expect. As soon as my family and I entered we were greeted instantly. Not by one but two lovely Bels. (See what I did there). Told them what I was looking for(an assisted standing recliner) and was taken down a beautiful well lit scenery path with so many eye catching options. As soon as I arrived at the the several choices of what i was looking for, Lydia (Bel #1) help me narrow down my options by asking all the right questions. Then left me and my family all alone to experiment with all these miraculous recliners. Periodically checking in on us of course with Bel#2. And to my amazement we came to a selection but of course only one left was the floor model. So Lydia did her magic and got me an extra discount, however wasn't sure if I could take it home due to it being a Sunday and warehouse was closed. This is when I put my head down in disappointment but at this lowest point in this story I noticed Lydia was wearing two different socks. One was the Pumpkin King (Jack) and the other Baby Yoda. Of course she apologized but I was already on to her scheme. Jack was there to give me my best treat which was the best deal making me feel like I was celebrating Christmas. And Baby Yoda letting me know my lovely Bel Lydia had the force to pull it off. And pull it off she did the deal was so sweet it dropped the price so much that it couldn't be charged to my BEL account. So it was pay cash or sweeten the deal even more. So she left me and my family to explore all the eye catching options on the path from before. Well an adjustable bed is what stuck out. ( see my mom had just broke her spine and had surgey. Hint the assisted chair) so Lydia, Bel #2 and Mr. Beast help me demonstrate all the magical functions to my lovely mother via video chat. All was grand except I had to get a magical bed protector that would allow me to trade the bed in for another once 31 days have past if it wasn't to my mother's liking. My luck, they were out and so was there second store. So I had to get the next level up. I tried to get Lydia to throw in her employee discount or to even invent a good son one but the force was wavering. Just then Lydia got with Mr. Beast and got me one last deal. The End. P.S. The comical loading by Mr. Beast and Bel # 2 along with my lovely wife is a story for another time.
All joking aside I had a great experience with everyone there. They were all professional, courteous, knowledgeable and most of all laughed at my jokes. 5...
Read moreIf I could give this a 0 star, I would because my husband and I nearly spent almost a $1,000 on only 2 pieces of furniture and when it came to delivery day, they only delivered 1 of the items we picked out. It was a bunk bed. And because it was not assembled and everything was very wrapped up, we didn't notice till the next day that almost all of the pieces were either cracked, wood split, pieces broken, and instructions missing. The other item, the delivery guy said It would come at a later date but didn't tell me when. When I called the next day to see what's the return process to get a new one cause obviously they gave us a return that someone else had and broke and returned it and didn't even bother checking the pieces carefully, they wanted me to send 1 picture per email of everything that was messed up and broken. So that means I would have had to send nearly 20 emails because they wanted 1 picture up close of the damaged item and 1 picture far away showing the whole item and they only wanted 1 picture per email being sent. When I asked about my other item, they told me there was a delay process. When my husband called 2 days later about it, they told him that the manufacturer doesn't even make that item anymore but yet they still had it on the floor to show customers. We were refunded our money thankfully for that and instead of going through all that hassle with my kids bunk beds, my husband put it together himself and had to buy material to fix it himself. We will NEVER buy from Bell Furniture EVER AGAIN and I will continue to tell everyone I know not to buy from them again. We paid full price up front for both items and yet my kids are sleeping on a bed that someone else had in their home and broke it. Fixing their mistakes should not be my problem. They should send a new one without having me take...
