I gotta tell ya, I've been to a lot of Crossfit boxes (gyms) in teh United States, but this place really has a winning business model. The membership comes with 100% access to the complex next door, a a newly renovated, 17,000 sq. ft. split level facility with a complete selection of modern exercise and strength training equipment, as well as an impressive array of cardiovascular machines (each with an individual television monitor). Five Points Crossfit is especially proud to offer its Barbell Club Training program, the key to a successful, sustained and efficient training regimen. And let's talk about affordability! For everything you get here, is definitely the most reasonably priced Crossfit in Marin county.
Classes are not impacted and they have an outside setting which is GREAT! You can work out in two to five person groups which provide the benefits of individual coaching and supervision by a top trainer. Or, you can choose to work out in private, intensive, one-on-one sessions.
In addition to its roster of top notch, certified trainers, Five Points Crossfit also boasts a staff of specialists and instructors in various health and fitness disciplines.
Wanna compliment your Crossfit training with In-Alignment, Yoga, Mat Pilates, Spinning, Boot Camp, and ZUMBA! They got that! Check, check and check. And it's FREE with the Crossfit membership!
Five Points Crossfit is owned and operated by two of Marinโs finest Crossfit Level 1 Certified trainers. Their fitness philosophy is centered on all-around fitness; Competency in cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination agility, balance and accuracy.

ย ย ย Read moreGreat Gym atmosphere with many regulars.
For cardio they have treadmills, stair stepper, elipitcal and rowing machine. Good quality and most have a small monitor to watch news or catch up on cable shows.
They have a stretching area, a room with bicycle and another for other general exercises in which they offer a variety of classes like yoga or trx.
The weight section is one of my favorites, with low crowds you always have atleast one area open. They have 3 areas with dumbbells 2 on the ground floor and 1 upstairs. 2 squat racks with a power rack upstairs for heavier lifts. Most basic machines like leg press, leg curl, bicepcurl, chest compression, and a few other hardly seen machines [not the typically lying leg curl variety] like a machine targeting the butt and a rope forearm machine.
They have a 2 separate lockerroom/showers for men and women with plenty of locker room space and 2 showers with 1 additonal handicap shower and a sauna located in the same area. They play tv in the lockerroom most of the time and it's pretty clean. For $5 more a month you'll have all the towels you need offered.
Overall if you're looking for a gym with a relaxed atmosphere where you can go in to get your workout done or need advice on using machines or doing lifts it's a great location albeit a little on the high side if you don't qualify for their discounts [student discount comes to mind].
The only thing they lack is a swimming pool or basketball court but for those you may want to look at Bay club for a similar price value.
The main age groups I see are adults 40+ and a small handful of 18-25yr olds and a small number of great bodybuilders/athletes among...
ย ย ย Read moreMy review is coming from their poor customer service. I'm latina (a minority group within this gym) and there is this young representative who has made me go back twice to the front desk to verify my membership. I am not a new member, I have been coming to this gym for four years and paid thousands in the annual subscription. I understand if this happens once, but this has happened twice now and with the same staff member. Which feels like profiling to me. It is embarrassing to be escorted all the way from the bathroom to the front desk just to make sure you are a member. As I said, this has only happened with the same employee. When I made my anger apparent the employee's behavior was condescending, He said "Yeah, it happens" . I know that they have a new manager now and this lady was kind and affable, I made sure to let her know how I felt. Hopefully management start training the staff better and teaching them to establish relationships with the customers and greet them by name or at least recognize...
