I wanted to give some appreciation to Morgan B. and Rife’s Home Furniture store on Highway 34 between Corvallis and Albany. Morgan was friendly and helpful without being pushy. I left without purchasing my Stanton brown leather reclining loveseat, but I had given Morgan my phone number that day to research a question for me. He called me right back with the information. I told him then that my only hesitation was the price was just slightly above my budget, and I would do some comparison shopping before deciding. About two weeks after my visit to Rife’s, I received a call from Morgan telling me that the loveseat’s price had dropped for their Memorial Day Sale, and he asked if I would be interested in purchasing it with the new lower price. Again, there was no pressure, and I truly appreciated him giving me a quick call because I had kept his card and had already decided to buy from him because my comparison shopping found the loveseat at Rife’s to be the best brand/best quality/most features for the best price. I finalized the sale right then over the phone. It was quick and easy. I received the invoice in the mail. I visited the store to see if the price had truly been lowered for the sale as Morgan stated, and I saw the loveseat with tags showing the new lower price, just as he had quoted me. The loveseat was delivered on a day of my choice just a few days after the sale. Once the delivery guys left, I noticed that the console was rubbing very slightly on the top of the right seat, and I was afraid it might rip or tear over time. I called Morgan, and he said they would send out a replacement loveseat in the next couple of days. He was friendly and efficient on the phone, reassuring me that they wanted to make it right. I told him I had a limited availability for delivery, and he made it happen on the day I needed, just two days after the first delivery. I asked the delivery guys to reposition the console before they unloaded the replacement sofa, and they were able to adjust the supports for the console just slightly, so there was no more rubbing. Read moreHome furniture shopping during COVID isn't easy. I had seen a loveseat I wanted to purchase here on the coast. I would've preferred to shop "local" but wouldn't, because of how we were treated in store when we picked the loveseat out. They had a "sale" price but then wanted to charge over $50.00 to deliver down the street to me. I walked. Because I really did like the loveseat, I called Rife's to see if they had it. I dealt exclusively with JJ over the phone. Not only did they have it, their price allowed me to also order an extra pillow for the loveseat in the matching fabric I wanted. Their prices beat "local" by several hundred dollars AND they delivered from the "valley" to us on the coast for FREE. Their delivery guys were courteous and clean. (My loveseat is an off white fabric)They wore masks when making the delivery to help try and keep customers safe. My extra pillow got hung up in manufacturing for awhile during business shut downs but as soon as JJ got it at the store, he shipped it to my home. JJ made the whole transaction easy, kept me informed on status of shipment, delivery and in my opinion went above and beyond to accommodate a customer. THIS is the kind of experience you hope for putting out good money to stay local...for the company to show a bit f appreciation you ARE shopping with them that doesn't exist on the coast fr home goods and furniture. I will continue to shop Rife's for any additional home or furniture needs I have because they know how to treat a customer. Thanks...
Read moreWorst customer service I have ever experienced in a furniture store. The salesperson; CAMERON was his name, was absolutely the worst. Bought a table set with cold hard cash, changed my mind and returned the next day for a refund. CAMERON said we couldn't sign a check, so I would have to wait. I asked to speak with the manager and he, CAMERON again, stated he was. So, a manager that cant get money for a store? Curious. So I waited. 10 days later and I still didn't have my check. The SOB, CAMERON, did not get my request to the owner until 9 days after I asked for a refund. Feed-up, I called the owner of Rife's. The owner informed me that CAMERON wasn't the manger and he got a check to me the next day. Funny thing is, I was going to buy a different dining set, and I was just waiting for the money to make my decision. Which I did, only I did it from a store in Salem because I will never go back to Rife's. Ever. CAMERON was by far the worst salesman ever. And, a liar. The worst kind of person. The owner said some changes were coming...well unless they fire CAMERON at the Rife's in Albany, and start over, enough changes will not be made to satisfy me. Hey CAMERON - Don't ever mess with a person's money. Ever. I will tell every person I know how the experience was, and I will leave a negative review on every webpage I can.
