I ordered a Lippert under chassis storage unit (175180) mainly due to price but after shipping, etc. , I should have just ordered it from Amazon. Web site stated there were 8 in stock. Web-site also stated hardware not included, (not included from ANY company). I have ordered from Lippert in the past and it always has come packaged well. I received my order from a third party shipper today and it was not in a box, it was strapped to a pallet, and had hardware taped to the unit. The only physical "damage" was scraped paint, dirt, and foot prints on the bins. I received delivery, and went to work. Upon returning home, I contacted CamperID and wanted to know the answer to 2 questions, #1. Why is the product not in its box and #2, was this a used or returned item? What made me think that was the dirtiness and the hardware. The customer support person put me on hold to find out the answers. When she returned on the phone, she immediately stated that it was my fault for accepting the shipment and they were not responsible, I would have to call the shipping company and file a claim. ?????? I stated laughingly that I was not responsible for taking the product out of the box or attaching hardware to it. She then stated that it was shipped directly from Lippert that way (why 8 in stock? where in stock?) and I should blame them. Now its getting very irritating. I said I DO NOT WANT TO SEND IT BACK, I WANT TO KNOW IF IT IS USED OR A RETURN. Then she said "whats the problem" Oh my God. I asked her to just give me a straight answer and if she couldn't, I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I hope this call was recorded. She would not allow me to speak to a supervisor and I told her Thank You very much and hung up. I then called Lippert, (fantastic company by the way, just a little more expensive), I spoke with the shipping dept or Tech support and was told everything she stated was B.S. #1, they have been out of stock of that item for several months now and if it came from them, it would be in a box. After thanking her and chit, chat, I again contacted CamperID. This time I was told the item was removed from the box because of its size so it would be easier to ship. Also it was so heavy, they wanted to make sure it wasn't warped. Are you kidding me, the 7 foot pallet weighs more than the product, (confirmed with the delivery driver) and it weighs in at 68 pounds. Then she went into the whole return speal again so I thanked her and told her to have a nice day and that I was going to write this review. Overall, CamperID has been o.k. in the past to order from, but I think I will spend the extra money and go elsewhere from now on. Just my 2 cents worth.
**Update. Mila in support responded to me directly and got involved in my order. As I explained to her, I just wanted an answer to my question with out the runaround I received. Received small refund and gift card from her which is very appreciated but not expected. Just wanted the truth. Thank you Mila for getting to the bottom of this. I would like to give a better rating than 3 stars, but I shouldnât have had to go through the run around to start with. I will order from your company in the...
Read moreWe bought a Thomas PayneŽ 436377 - Oxford Walnut Leather Vinyl Jackknife Sofa back on May 1, 2020 and the salesman informed us that we should be receiving the sofa in about a week. Later on we received the order confirmation, in which it was advised there were some delays to do Covid-19 and that it would take an additional 3-7 business days for the order to be received. About a month had passed and we still did not received the sofa; every time we would call, they would advise item would ship out the following Monday, and it never did. Finally, on June 16th we called again and they informed us the sofa was on back order and that the new ship day was 06/23/20. We confirmed we still wanted the sofa hoping that we were now very close to receiving it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We continued getting e-mails stating item was still on back order until finally we got an e-mail on 07/11/20 confirming that sofa had been shipped out to us. We tracked the package a few times and everything seemed normal; the delivery date was 07/21/20. On that day, hoping it was finally the day we were getting the sofa, we tracked the package and to our surprise the sofa was out for delivery that day but to address in California! We are located in Miami, FL. We immediately called Camperid.com and after waiting for several minutes on the phone, they told us they did not understand why UPS had sent the sofa to CA because according to them, they as well as the factory, had the correct delivery address on their systems. They said they would call UPS to fix everything and have packaged rerouted to Miami, FL and that we should be getting an e-mail within 24-48 hours. We never did, so we called again, and again and again, and no one would give us an answer. Unfortunately, the sofa ended up being delivered to the wrong address in CA on 07/31/20, 10 days after we had contacted Camperid.com to advise them on the mistake on the address. Little was done by Camperid.com and the result is we still have not received our sofa, it has been delivered to the wrong address and no one give us clear information. We recently called again on Monday and spoke to a very rude guy, who did not even let us speak and explain the whole situation. Every time we would say something he would speak louder over us; extremely poor customer service. At that point we requested to speak to a manager and were told by the rude guy we had to wait 24-48 hours for a call back, and when we started telling him that that was the same thing we have been told and not once had we received the e-mail or call back, he simply said he could not argue with us anymore, that there was nothing else he could tell us and he simply hung up on us. We called one more time, spoke to someone else, who again advised it was their internal team that was working on the issue we UPS and that soon, we should be getting an e-mail from them with an update. As of now, we still have not received any...
Read moreRun, Forest, run! Terrible experience. We ordered a Solera slide topper for our 5th wheel. Order promptly accepted and we were provided a tracking number and learned we would have to be home to accept and inspect the package. Inconvenient when you have to work, but okay. We waited...and waited...frustrated with delays and no information available at any of the listed carriers from the provided tracking number. Almost a month after placing our order I called CamperID to get an update. They stated they didn't know where the item was and they obviously had provided the wrong tracking number. They said the topper was showing as in-stock, but they couldn't confirm that the package had even shipped. I learned that the topper was being drop shipped ( thus not stocked by CamperID ) and they needed to check with the supplier and they would get back with me in 24-48 "business hours". A week and a half passed, email sent and still not a word. Multiple calls always yielding the same results..."I don't know", "we need to contact the supplier for updated information", "we cannot tell why the item has not shipped"....and "we'll get back in touch with you within 24-48 business hours". More time passes, more calls placed, more excuses and more disappointment with CamperID customer service. However, I did place them on the spot to confirm that 24-48 "business hours" meant up to 6 days considering many business operate along the 8 hour day. Disappointing, but understood....however, it does not matter as they still do not update you at all. As a consolation, they offered me a $25 credit toward a future purchase with CamperID. HA! NOT happening! Finally, customer service agreeded to cancel the order and were to send me an email confirmation of my cancelation...days pass, no confirmation. Another call, another 24-48 business hour response window. REALLY!?! Totally fraudulent practices with this company. They got several hundred dollars and I've received nothing less than an uncomfortable shafting. What next? While I am told to patiently wait another week for CamperID to do nothing I sit here on the hook not knowing if I can comfortably order my item elsewhere. As I wait for nothing to be done by Camper ID my credit card company will process the disputed fraudulent charge for services/products unrendered...wonder who I'll hear from first??? STAY AWAY...you've...
