Beautiful, awe inspiring, family adventure! What a fantastic 2 days on the Smith River with Travis and Treehouse Outfitters. We first booked a day trip at a beginner level. Under Travis’ guidance we quickly learned the dos and don’ts of rafting on the river along with how to do it safely. After an adventure down the river and into the Jedediah Smith Redwood Forrest on Day 1, we booked a second day with Travis with class II/III rapids. This was the best decision of our week long vacation! I have never seen such a pristine blue river in my life! Day 2 had intense moments where we had to truly work together as a group. We took our Girl Scouts down the Klammath River with Travis (summer of '24), and it was easily the most fun in a single day we had ever had. It was like Disneyland without all the crowds, the asphalt, and the fatigue. It was pure joy, and pure beauty for the entire stretch of the river. Travis is an engaging guide, who navigates with precision and who is also a wonderful raconteur, and if you're bold enough, he'll give you a turn at rowing the boat, which is much harder than he makes it look. Did a great rafting trip with Treehouse outfitters this last weekend on the Rogue. Super nice trip with plentiful amounts of Blue Heron, egrets, osprey, and bald eagles.
