I went in because I saw postcards through the window. Unfortunately, they were not the kind of postcards I was looking for. I wanted touristy postcards, something that said "Crestone" on them. Alas, these were postcard reproductions of original art. They were very pretty...mostly horses...but not what I wanted. Also, they cost $1 each, which is not so much for art, but a lot for a postcard. i didn't buy any. Also the store smelled funny. I don't know why, but I smelled it as soon as I walked in, even through my mask. I did appreciate that the owner of the store was requiring people...

Have found Crestone Mercantile to have much better selection and prices than Elephant Cloud Market. I am proud Crestone Mercantile is actually taking a strong stance on masks. Someone else said they found their mask policy “a bit extreme”. Really? They state it correctly in this sign: An independent business is allowed to set its own rules. It’s pretty wild that some “enlightened, humanitarian” people in this community can’t even be bothered the basic courtesy to protect other humans. And that’s why I’ve loved going to Crestone Mercantile instead of Elephant Cloud....
