When I moved back to Cullman 8 years ago, I began bringing my Golden Retriever Cooper to Happy Tails. Iâd never of taken him anywhere else! He has crossed over the rainbow bridge, but he loved his time coming there and it was CLEAR by how excited he would get when we pulled up. I could tell he was sad when he had to leave. He smelled like heaven when he was done and was always groomed so beautifully! It was evident that he was spoiled and loved on while he was there. He had gone to multiple people while I was living out of state, and it never came close to being as good of a groom compared to coming here. This place is truly the best! They offer extra services and keep you updated on what is going on. Not only that, but the facility itself is top tier and just beautiful!
However, this review is also coming from someone who knows the owner personally, as her best friend. I felt it needed to be known that I have heard about all of these dogs for YEARS in our daily conversations, like she is talking about her own children. I have watched my sweet friend pour her heart and soul into this business, and make countless sacrifices to put the care of these precious animals above all else. I have listened to her share all of the joys and all the concerns, if there ever were any. If there is ever a sick animal, she worried about them like itâs her own. One that sheâs heard passed away? I promise you she felt the hurt too. One that had a little anxiety during his groomingâŚ.of course she worried to death about that and Iâm positive she planned ahead on how she could relieve it the next go around and make it more pleasant. Whatever happens in her days at work, stays at the top of her mind long after the day is done.
She thinks of these animals and their owners in a way that is of utmost importance to her. In a way that only the people close to her would ever know just how much she truly, TRULY, cares about others. The love she has for these animals surpasses anyone you will ever meet. Sometimes, it is hard to understand how any one human could love animals in the way that she does haha. Not only does she share this love for animals, but she is the most thoughtful, kind, and compassionate person you will ever meet and treats their owners just the same.
The folks that work here are just flat out gifted in their craft! She takes great pride in doing things the right way- the best wayâŚand it shows in all that she and her employees do. And her sweet heartâŚ.well, just know your pups are just lucky to be there!! While I donât know every single person that works here personally, I do know sheâd never let anyone work for her that didnât share the exact same characteristics as her. I hear about the sweet things they do with these animals just as often.
If youâre on the fence for where you should take your fur buddy, just trust me when I tell you there is no better place in the world you could possibly take them, than Happy Tails. If you ever go once, youâll see exactly what I am talking about...
Read moreWe will NEVER use this place again! Iâm about to take one of our dogs that was boarded with them for 6 dayâs to the vet. We have a Frenchton and when we picked him up he looked so skinny and was trembling. We got him home around 10:30 this morning and heâs thrown up all day, he canât hold anything down, and his gums are white which is a for sure indication of dehydration. I called and talked to the manager and was lied to several times. She told me he was very anxious while being there, and didnât eat well, but when my daughter called 2 days before that they explained to her that all of our dogs were doing great, eating great, having lots of play time outside and one on one time. Which she also lied about because I told her I was about to take our dog to the vet for dehydration, and she said that there was no way it was that because, he was only let out to use the bathroom and brought back in because of how hot it was. That was another lie, because my husband asked why Tucker was wet underneath his mouth when we picked them up, and she told my husband he was playing outside with other dogs during playtime. Also my parents dog, and my brothers dog was also boarding during the same time and they are sick and very tired with no energy. We were all told we would receive report cards during their stay and none of us received anything the entire time. Also I asked to see video and they lied and said they donât have video, which was another lie because they told my mom they watched her dog on video climb the fence and couldnât believe he was able to do that. I WOULD NEVER USE...
Read moremy 1st and only experience was the last. My dog was attacked and had to be placed on antibiotics. He was non-aggressive. I stopped receiving updates while we were on vacation and when I called I was told it was a minor altercation. When we arrived to pick him up we had to wait for almost an hour. Permanent shoulder damage. I should have sued. The only thing they did right was not loose him. UPDATE- I received an email response that I must be mistaken, that it didnt happen at their boarding house. Uh, yeah it did. In fact it was one of your trainers dog that bit him. Alaina thought that her big dog and my big dog would play well together but that turned out to be a horrible idea. She did notify me that there had been an altercation but it was nothing that a "bandaid" couldn't fix. There were no further updates or pictures sent. When we arrived to pick him up he was obviously medicated and it took them an hour to bring him out. I WAS GIVEN the rest of his antibiotic they had placed him on which proved that a vet was involved at some time. No, I will not change my response...
