Today I walked into what I would call, a hidden jewel. As soon as I opened the door I was hit with an aroma that made my soul smile! As I looked around, out from the back comes the sweetest lady. She had such a big inviting smile on her face that you could tell through the mask lol. She introduced herself and began to tell us what she had to offer. She has various cake flavors and she also does pies...We discussed that we did our home work on the bakery. She won best white cake in 2011 and other accomplishments that she is very modest about. I was ready to get my hands on whatever had that heavenly aroma lingering through the air! When I bite into the cupcake it was simply AMAZING!! The frosting was like no other...they call it their house white frosting, it was smooth, light, creamy, fluffy with a heavenly sweetness. Definitely made with love! But the cake...just AMAZING! The cake was moist, light and fluffy...just heavenly, my soul was happy! This Queen and King duo are a perfect match with these delicious creations! I dont recall ever wanting to give someone my money so fast! Lol I can't wait to pick up my birthday day cake! O and I also had chess pie that they make as well....AMAZING! Filling was sweet buttery and fluffy. The top had the golden brown sugar crust and the tart crust was AWESOME, the tart crust didn't break or crumb it stayed intact with ever bite!! My bonus mother had a cake ordered for her, from this place, for her upcoming birthday celebration.

Her name was misspelled on the cake and when she called to try and rectify the error, she was given attitude and dismissive behavior.

The owner told her “Well, everybody makes mistakes, so what do you want me to do about it?” My bonus mom asked her what did SHE think she should do as the owner?

The owner offered her 10 cupcakes, instead of offering to correct her name or offer some of her money back. There was no remorse from the owner and she had the nerve to say “God Bless you” and then hang up in my BM’s face. Not only that, but they don’t give invoices or proper receipts.

This, right here, is why I have the hardest time patronizing black owned businesses. All you have is a store front, that you’re paying overhead on, which is being ran illegally in the first place (no regulated license) and you have the audacity to give trashy, snooty customer service? I don’t think so!

Be careful before you place an order here. Your order will be late and you will not have proof of your order. When a so-called “business” runs its business “half-way”, you can expect “half-way” service.

Amazing Occasions Custom Cakes is truly AMAZING!! Sassy was wonderful in respect to customer service! My little sister was turning 18 and we needed a nice birthday cake to help her celebrate it. I called Sassy at Amaizing Occasions two days before my sisters birthday party and Sassy and her husband were able to deliver a beautiful custom cake for me quickly and at an affordable rate! Sassy even waited for me to come to her bakery AFTER closing to make sure she and I got to speak about what I wanted to make the cake perfect. I ended up choosing a lemon “make up” cake. My sister loves make up and Sassy and her husband created a cake with make up brushes lipstick MAC eyeshadow and glitter! It was perfect! She even gave me half a dozen cupcakes to show her appreciation of my business. Sassy thank u for the delicious and beautiful cake! It was a major hit! Everyone loved the look and the taste of the cake (even people who did not traditionally like lemon LOVED THIS CAKE). You have a gift Sassy and I am glad I got to experience it.
