I went and dropped of my chainsaw. Explaining that I could not ever get the chainsaw running. I just wanted it to go. My brother n law had tried to fix it but was unable. But he cleaned it up almost so shiney you could see yourself on it. It looked brand new. James (the bald guy) did place a tag on it when I brought it in. When I picked it up he had told me that the guy that was fixing them could not get mine to run. So I asked if it was ready to go home. James ( the bald guy) had explained that the guy might not had it put together, but he also said he had parts downstairs everywhere. Mine was done and still had a tag on it, but it was dirty with tree shavings. It was greasy and the side of the lettering was all beat up. I told him that was not mine but he said it was. For my chainsaw was clean , had no grease, had not even cut a tree and yet I had shavings. Where did they come from. James and I talked a week later , telling him that the chainsaw was no mine. He said he was done, it was mine and he never considered, when you take one apart that the handle goes off, which had the tag on it. It is easy to make a mistake putting them back together. Rude that he is. Never leave an item for them to fix unless you can place a tag or something to tell...
Read moreLet me preface by saying I think it's very important to support local businesses even if they cost a tad more, but I think they at least need to be competitive and courteous. This place is neither. The prices on most of their tools and hardware is nearly double what lowes or home depot is, and the service is horrendous. I've used them 5 or 6 times in a pinch because I was closer to them, and literally every time they act bothered to serve you. The bald guy is especially rude, I sat there and watched him tell off an elderly gentleman after the guy questioned the price on some chainsaw work he had done. Today was the final straw for me, because they didn't uphold their end of the rental agreement and kept my deposit on an equipment rental. My advice: avoid this place and go to either lowes or southern states, and ignore the reviews below that are so clearly written by the owner. The only reason to go to a place like this is for the service, and you will get much better service at lowes...
Read moreLove this place. Definition of small town small business but with big time values and customer service. They will get to know the project your working on that goes a long with the tools or materials you need so they can better help you get not only exactly what you need at the moment they may suggest something you'll need down the road you haven't thought of yet. Also they rent tools in case you need a bigger more expensive piece of equipment that you don't have the money for in your budget. Would give 5 + stars if it...
