They were celebrating the Greek Food Festival of Dallas which is once every year in September. This is their 63th year celebrating this festival in Dallas. They celebrate from Friday thru Sunday. The parking is $20 inside the Church's parking area and across the avenue you $10 for parking. They have Dallas police officers controlling the entrance and the traffic too. The general admission is: adults (15 and up) $9 and children (14 and under) free. You will receive a soft cover book of all the activities of the day. They have the Cultural Exhibit (museum) which is brought from Greece and afterwards it will be return to its country. In the museum they have a young student named Dimitris who will give you a tour of the history of Greece and he does it very good. The next place to see is The Agora the store that sells Arts & Crafts from paintings to jewelry, to pottery, t- shirts and a lot more. Also inside The Agora they had The Pastry Shop with homemade pastries and they had the Greek Festival Cooking Demos too. Now what everybody was waiting for: The Kafenio (the coffee house) coffee, ice-tea and frappe ; Taverna (beverage bar) beer, wine and soft drings and at last The Kouzina (food court) over 15 dishes of Greek food and it was delicious. They also have Plaka (entertainment) Greek Dance Performances and Greek Music. Read moreI'm giving this Orthodox church 5 stars because of Christ and because it is just breathtakingly beautiful. Genuinely left me in awe. However, I don't know the name of the woman who buzzed me in and out of the church, but she needs to do some serious reflection on the tone she uses with people. Absolutely abrasive. It's a good thing we are in a holy setting because had she spoken to me in that tone anywhere else, she would have been put in her place. Forgive me, but I don't care how busy she is, her curt tone was abrupt, brief, and rude. Absolutely unacceptable. I hope whatever she's going through gets remedied swiftly because she sets the atmosphere of how newcomers will view Orthodox...
Read moreOPA!!! Every year, my wife and I look forward to the Greek Food Festival. And once again, the 2022 Greek Food Festival did not disappoint. Savory Souflaki on pita, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), greek salad, and unbelievable gyros... all great! Beautiful outdooor sights, sounds, and the smell of open flame cooking!
WONDERFUL!!!

And the atmosphere... greek dancing, music, wine and Ouzo.
