The Showroom — Local services in Danville

After my experience checking this place out, me and my fiancé would not recommend this place for couples looking to get married. Here’s why:

1 - We called and discussed pricing and had a figure in mind, then when we arrived there was an additional page of incidentals which were not included in any pricing info previously sent. They added up to a substantial difference. 2 - When we tried to set up an appointment we didn’t hear back for days. I finally called to discuss setting an appointment and they did pick up. We settled on 11:30 and were excited to tour. 3 - When the day came, the scheduler had written 10:30 for the appointment time. She reached out that morning at 10:30 to confirm if we were still coming, and was snippy my fiancé. I’m confident the error was on her side, but even if it wasn’t, it didn’t justify being rude to us. 4 - When we got there, getting her to show the venue was like pulling Hen’s teeth. She was only interested in getting us out of there as fast...

Attempted to reserve this place months ago for a wedding that is to happen in October of 2018. They are so disorganized that they don't even recollect meeting us and showing us around and telling us that that date was open. We agreed and asked when they needed the rental deposit. Then when we went to pay our deposit as they Initially told us to do they said that they never showed us the property and that the date was now booked (despite the person not having even looked at it, let alone put money down on it) and refused to take our deposit. We were first to look at it and request that date and this establishment ignored us and is now holding our date for someone who has 1) yet to show up to even look and yet to decide if they for sure want it 2) yet to put any money down or any verbal agreement in renting this venue. Shameful excuse for a "professional"...

This business was very compassionate with the issue my family was dealing with. My mother and father came from NY to see their granddaughter graduate from high school. My mother had a medical emergency and was in the hospital for over a month. She was going to transfer to Danville for her physical therapy recovery. A coworker gave me Nicole's number and said to reach out to her. I did so. Nicole offered the house that goes with this venue for my dad to stay in. So he could be closer to the hospital. This was an amazing offer and took a lot of stress off my father. Thank you Nicole for being so compassionate and understanding! I would recommended this venue. If they care enough about a stranger having a place to stay closer to the hospital. Who wasn't having a wedding or event. I can only imagine how they treat you...
